    another "Whats that noise?" thread

Kind of sounds like the header gasket is leaking. Also make sure that the spark plugs are tight.

    Automatic Transmisison Temperature

How do you feel that performs? I've always heard that the stacked plate design, like the ones in my photo (the one on the driver's side is the factory engine oil cooler) are more efficient. While the one you have probably works better, I'm sure the one I have has to have some cooling...

    Automatic Transmisison Temperature

    tranny fluid

I put 13 qts. in the 700r4 in my truck. It's got a 12in. converter and oil cooler on it. I thought it never was going to get full.

    tranny fluid

The last reman th350 I installed was in 1990. I was going to say 10 but my memory's not that great. I usually put a qt. in the converter before I put it in the tranny so it's not dry when you start it. Don't know if it does any good but it gives me a little peace of mind.

    Knocking under load/hard acceleration

Might need to do a compression test. Let the gauge stay on each cyl a few minutes to test for leak down of the pressure. Also do a pressure test on the cooling system. These two tests should show any problems with head gaskets or cooling system. How many miles are on the engine? Does it run...

    Knocking under load/hard acceleration

I think I would pull the valve covers and make sure the oil return holes are not stopped up or partially clogged. If they are, the oil pump is running dry because all the oil is in the valve covers at higher rpms.

Yeah, those look like they would work for your application. Not a bad price. Chrome!! Should be able to see some fire out of those even with an extension. Cool!

    mud truck exhaust

I've never owned a mud truck, but to me your plans sound good. I would have to have the stack flappers (what ever they are called) though. I've had a couple of dirt track cars with open long tube headers that exited underneath. Great sound at 7500 rpms.

    need engine help

I've seen it over and over. When you use the over the counter parts, chances are you will be replacing them again in the near future. That has been my experience. There are some after market parts that are dependable (mallory, msd, accel) but you don't save any on the cost. SO for me, OEM and...

    wiper motor?????

http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraypaintdepot/chrome-plating-paint.aspx This could possibly be an option if all else fails. I've used one of these products before and had pretty good results. I think it was the Krylon brand.

    82 c10 350, not getting any spark

If there is no voltage on the wire at the dizzy, I would check the fuses. If all are good, it would have to be a wiring problem or a bad ign switch. When you changed the cap, did you get the coil ground strap, spring, and carbon button back in correctly? If there is voltage on the wire then yes...
