Well called the dealership and the theory is correct, 2wd trucks had either torsion or coil springs depending on the suspension package... So everyone is right lol- Tx84GMCHS

they must have offered both, or are GMC vs. Chevy thing. cause all i have looked at is chevys in the junkyard. but i have also looked at aftermarket suspension systems and they are refer to coil springs, except pro comp refers to both in 2 wd, i will call a chevy/GMC dealer today to confirm that...- Tx84GMCHS

Both will be 2wd which I believe the newer have coil springs and on the 4x4 it has torsion bars but mine is 2wd so that shouldn't be too bad- Tx84GMCHS

Modern brakes on my 84
Ok so I have a bad habit... Thinking outside the box when it comes to builds. I am going to put a 00-03 suspension and 4 wheel disc brake system on my 84... Anyone ever tried it; successful or otherwise? Any and all info tips or knowledge would be appreciated:signs6:- Tx84GMCHS
