    Spacers for trucks are expensive, mainly because of the weight of the vehicle. I don't recommend spacer because they will shorten the life of the wheel bearings.

    Yeah, it went in the junk bin. The front drum, input shaft and converter all got replaced. When rebuilding this thing I went ahead and put a transGo kit in it.

    I do agree! The painless kits are pricey. I replaced mine because of the degradation of the insulation on theOEM harness. I had to repair 6 wires under the hood when I did the engine install. I don't want all my hard work to burn up because of an aging insulation that I can't see.

    It has been holding up fairly well. Did a little reprogramming to firm up the shifts and it works good. I have not tried matting it yet, always too much traffic, lol.

    Have a painless 18 circuit. Not too much of a problem if you know basic electricity. I would recommend more circuits if you are planning on have many accessories.

    IT will help with the torque band and will smooth out hte exhaust pulses for a smoother performance and sound.

    I actually stayed with the 350C for the moment. I am looking at some other upgrades to the truck and didn't want the expense or downtime right now. Should be okay ofr the daily driving, just have to watch the launches, lol.

    It has to do with the scanvaging effect on the cylinders. The 2 2" feeding into one 3" acts like a vacuum chamber on the exhaust system because it lowers the pressure , then the split to 2 2" again will increase the exit velocities and allow for better scavaging.

    I used rubber hose for a long time, but after a couple of times of having the same thing happen to me I bought the aluminum guides for the rod bolts.

    You could use a laser thermometer to locate any misfiring plugs while it is running then just pull that plug or the cap depending on the results.

    The bearing don't look bad at all, just like it was assembled in a dirty environment. THe nick on the crank journal can be repaired, no big deal. The repair and micropolish should cost about 80.     Just to update this thread. I pulled the 350C out and wanted to look inside , just for grins. I found the torque converter had apparently busted a bearing and seized on the end of the input shaft. This actually popped the input shaft out of the forward drum.
