    Oil Pressure Gauge problems

I used a did grinder to open up the black metal bezel and mounted the gauges to it with the mounting hardware that came with the gauges. i then opened up the main plastic gauge holder so they would clear. From there, it was just running the sensors and wires. I did put did put electrical...

    Oil Pressure Gauge problems

After replacing the stock sender in mind twice, I got frustrated and went to a mechanical gauge. Actually swapped all 4 of factory spots ( sunpro temp, water, and volt, then an eBay tach too). No more wondering if accused not.

    Exhaust/Mufflers

It's always interesting to see how things have changed. I remember getting the exhaust done on my 73 F250 highboy in the late 80's and paying to upgrade to the massive 2 1\4" exhaust from 2" , which was considered the performance standard at the time.

    Looking to get a winch

Not sure how your plow is mounted, but if your front frame is available, you can mount a receiver hitch and get a winch in a receiver mount. Then you have the option to use it from either the front of rear, and can remove it when not needed by simply pulling the hitch pin and wiring connector...

    Taillights/Tag lights out

My record was finding 21 splices in a 5 wire rear harness in an f350. Surprisingly I was having taillight problems.

    Taillights/Tag lights out

You might try checking for power in the circuit at the rear harness connector . That would eliminate the wiring from there to the lights. Then work forward or back from there depending on what you find.

What have you done to your square lately??

After replacing the clutch a couple of weeks ago, I replaced the slave and master today. Bleeding was a challenge. Bought a mityvac, no joy. Finally pulled the whole system out and bled it on the bench. Working fine now. On a side note, the hydro clutch was swapped in sometime in the past...

    Fuel Tank Selector Valve Leaking

I was aware of that, but the pic that was posted appeared to be the five wire, newer style.

    Fuel Tank Selector Valve Leaking

Not sure why someone said they aren't made anymore. It is the standard six port with the five wire harness connector. I put a new one in last month from napa.

    Fuel Tank Selector Valve Leaking

IIRC, that is a vent for the valve. If it is leaking, the valve needs to be replaced.

    New steering column

If you get one from a similar year truck (not column mounted wiper or dimmer switch, for example), it should be a direct bolt in and pinout.

    8 MPG?

Interesting. My 83 K20 has a 14ff. Assumed it was original, but not sure now.

    8 MPG?

Sounds about right. Mine is similar - factory crate 350, 4 speed, 4.11 gears, 4" lift, 35's. I get 10 with mostly in town driving.

New and a load of help needed

Welcome. Some pictures of the lines and wires you are asking about would help. Also, if you are talking about vac lines off the carb, the make\model of the carb and a pic would help too.

    1984 k20 question

http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/Transfer%20Case%20ID%20Guide.htm Here is a quick comparison between the 203 and 205. I would think it should have either 4 or 5 positions. Can't think what would have 3.

    Fuel gauge

Where is the needle pointing? 3 o'clock is an open circuit (like a broken wire or connection) and 9 o'clock is a grounded circuit.

Does my engine have a chance of living?

Ok, I have heard this before and have a question. If you swap in a high volume pump, since the internal resistance stays the same (bearings, etc), won't you naturally have higher pressure? Therefore higher volume pump equals higher pressure pump in a given engine.

    Fuel Gauge

The best way to test the sender wire is with an ohm meter. Unplug the wire at the sending unit and put one meter lead on the post and the other to ground. You should get a reading between 0-90 ohms. If not, you have a bad sending . Then put one lead at each end of the wire and you should get...
