For one, your're giving up OD by going from 5 to 4 speed. That will hurt some mpgs. Other things like gearing, tire size, driving habits and overall efficiency of the motor will effect mpgs as well. Have you tried a basic tune up on the 02'? If you like the K10 go for it....as far as the...- 8T6K5

How did you lift your truck at home ?
Minimum 3T jack stands under the frame each resting on 8X8X16 blocks. I filled the blocks with Quickcrete then used liquid nail to put plywood on top. I have my stands set at about the half way mark. With the vehicle at a slight angle and the rear end in the air, the E brake is unavailable...- 8T6K5

molded dash pad( cover) vs new dash for my 74 k10
I have the dash pad cover on mine. I didnt install it nor do i know how long it has been on...but it is starting to seperate in some sports. Baking in the Az summer sun doesnt help Im sure. I plan on pulling the dash after my current project, and doing a minor interior make-over. Im going... -

Ten Fo... I ordered mine up from Rock Auto...AC Delco, should be just what the Dr ordered. Plus is was by far the cheapest one available. I did read about several guys getting the smooth pulley too... -

Yes and no. Only need it if they catch it on the visual, which I doubt they will. After reading about it til my head hurt on thirdgen.com consensus is that it doesnt really do much. No real performance gained or lost...if anything it leans it out just a tad...considering Im running sooo rich... -

Way too hi-tech for me. Im having a hell of a time just figuring mine out. Spent the better part to today untangeling the Charlie Foxtrot mess to wires inside the engine bay. Basically undid most of the loom, seperated and re-routed a few of the leads.... Before: After...- 8T6K5
