nv4500 with long shaft np205
I just picked up a 93 chevy truck that has a tbi 350 and nv4500 I want to stuff them in an older 1 ton so I will be doing this same swap soon I have put a nv4500 in an 85 with a 208 t case but not one with a 205 yet I am going to see if the short input for the 205 will work with the nv4500- kleedus

dana 60 drw hubs to srw hubs
I done the conversion with dual wheel hubs on my blazer I beat the shit out of it off road with 38'' tsl swampers and a arb front locker and daily drove it on the street the axles lives on but the blazer got parted out it narrows up the front a little but I ran 16.5 wheels with no issues- kleedus

make sure the plastic clip thing is not broke and installed right on the shaft make sure the pick up tube is still on the pump I would tack weld the pick up tube to the pump remove the distributer before you install the pump- kleedus

I would say something is not in right you should have pressure after all that drop the pan recheck everything then prime with the primer tool after reassembly- kleedus

circled in yellow is the power wire should be a thicker red or faded to pink wire white is the tach wire yours might not have a tach it will not fire if you pull the power wire just crank over- kleedus

a modern column shift for a 5 speed??
I am sure it could be done but not easy you could make a custom shifter up and down to go from top gears to bottom gears (1rst to second) rotate the shifter to move sideways (second to third) it would take some engineering and total custom fabrication but pretty sure it could be done...- kleedus

what will you be hauling that will fit behind the seat that would weight that much 1 ton frames are taller under the cab and the rails are made from thicker metal sounds like you should get a c 60 truck and put a sub body on it I think that would be far less work than making a half or...- kleedus

drivetrain swap
engine and tranny not to bad but t-case is a no go unless you use a ford axle up front. front output is on the wrong side. if your 97 is a half ton it will have a vortec 350 with a 4l60 3/4 ton will have a 4l80 tranny with a vortec 350 or maybe a 454 the motor and tranny are pretty much...- kleedus

Flat bed ideas
with a flat bed I really don't care how it looks its all about the utility of it to me as long as its not a cobbled up mess. that is a factory built bed I just threw it on and ran with it my other flat bed is even uglier- kleedus

do not use flux core on sheet metal you will regret it if you do I have done a lot of sheet metal welding I am a self taught welder move your welds around the panel to minimize the heat do short welds and be careful grinding the welds down that makes a lot of heat as well buy a good welder... -

4.3 carb intake
I have a complete 4.3 out of a 86 k10 with a 4 barrel but its not for sale if you need info or pics I can go look at it and take pics I have been thinking about putting it in my 85 c10 short bed with a 700r4 -

Rockwell 2 1/2 ton axles anyone?
pretty easy to get call boyce equip. in Utah I think they sell a set front and rear for 1,600 a buddy of mine has a set I am trying to talk him out of they are in my storage yard just teasing me. I am storing them for him- kleedus
