    Fuel lines and cap

Yup, thats pretty much exactly it. The one I used was a Dorman 80195. Looked just like that. $9.95 on Amazon. Seems to work for me so far!

    Fuel lines and cap

On my Camaro I used a small charcoal filter that is often used for filtering the vacuum air going to a brake booster. I just hooked it up to the vent outlet on the tank then ran a bit more hose up to the frame rail under the trunk. Its been sitting like that in my garage for a couple weeks with...

    Re-upgrading to power driver's window

Interesting. I didn't have a problem this morning, but then again I've only done one door. I'll be doing the pass door soon because the manual regulator is getting... stiff. I'll be very curious to see if I get the "wumping" once I do all 4 doors.

    Re-upgrading to power driver's window

Here's how things look now that I got the install done. I decided to install a moisture shield of sorts, hoping it will cut down a bit on humidity in the cab. No idea if it will do anything, but it's just piece of a $6 plastic drop cloth so its not like it was a ton of money! And here is a...

    TH350 Won't engage park

Well.... It's in park! My Dad and I (and the wife too) modified the bracket in the way I described above. We were able to get the pawl far enough to the aft that it now seems to reliably engage park. I cannot turn the trans with either the driveshaft, or the wheel. Seems fairly solid. I just...

    Exhaust

I've got a pair of true-dual Super 44s with tail pipes that come out at the bed corners on my crew dooley. The flowmasters are very noisy/droney mufflers so you want them as far back as possible. Mine are mounted just behind the cab (keep in mind this is a crew) and the drone was TERRIBLE until...

have you seen this re-wire kit?

Nope, you are not! I went through this with my Camaro. I removed all the wires from the car, cleaned them, combed them, then bundled them nicely. I spent a lot of time and effort on organizing the wires into bundles. In this way I was able to inspect all of the wiring for cracks, breaks, etc...

Hot cold hot cold goes the heat in my truck.

I must also agree that there seems to be some issue inside the heater box, not with the coolant. Even if coolant flow was cut for a short time for some unknown reason (I see absolutely no way for cornering to affect this) the heater core would remain hot enough to keep the air warm until coolant...

have you seen this re-wire kit?

See I thought it was generic too, but the description states it comes with all of the connectors to connect with the existing child harnesses. I'm confused...

    Bvllsh!t on craigslist.

For that price he could have at least washed it and took the crap out of the cab... Unless he's going for the "barn find" look??

    Re-upgrading to power driver's window

Well it was pretty much that easy! The old regulator slid right out, and the new one went in pretty well. Had to run the motor up/down a little bit with some jumper wires (didn't have the switch yet) to get everything in place, but that was no big deal. The only thing I ran into was that there...

    Re-upgrading to power driver's window

I sure hope so, because I bought one that said it was from a burb! The switch arrives today, and hopefully I'll be able to get the window done too. I'll post up results.

    Re-upgrading to power driver's window

For some reason the PO of my truck decided he did not want power windows or locks in the front doors. When I first got the truck I put the lock switches back in and got the power locks back (that's all the doofus needed... switches ). Well the manual regulator in the driver's front...

    1971 Cessna 210 Centurion

That's pretty cool. Be careful working on it though. You could really cause some issues down the road if you are not an A&P and you want to get it back in the air. You will likely need an annual done by an IA to get it re-authorized to fly. Or you could just get it classified as...

    TH350 Won't engage park

Then it is what it is. This is a $150 craigslist transmission in a project car that does not even have windshield. I do not have even CLOSE to enough $$ to rebuild this trans. If I had the tools I could probably muddle my way through doing it myself, especially with books/youtube etc. I could...

    Smeary glass

Well I discovered that part of my issue is that the carpet was apparently wet due to the POS leaky mofo of a sunroof. I hate that friggen thing so very very bad. I've tried so damn hard to seal it, theres got to be 20lbs of various caulks up there... lol that sounded dirty Case in point I just...

    TH350 Won't engage park

The rod is normal. It's the guide plate that is pushing it into the wrong gear. With the guide plate installed there is absolutely no way the pawl can engage the correct gear. It keeps it too far forward. Ref. the diagram I posted on the first page. It seems the most likely that there is play...

    TH350 Won't engage park

Rather than try to "shift" the alignment slot of the bracket, my thought was to cut it right off and add a second home made bracket on top, maybe with slightly longer bolts. I could just use some bent steel and call it good. I need to maintain most of the original bracket as it also aligns the...

    TH350 Won't engage park

See now I'm gettin to thunkin. I can get the pawl to engage the gear and park the trans. I just have to do it by hand. The problem is that the bracket that "aligns" the pawl pushes the pawl forward, making it so that it cannot engage. What if I just modified the alignment bracket? If there was...

    TH350 Won't engage park

Nope, no e-brake. The rear disc swap I did used calipers that did not have the e-brake ratchets. I planned to just put it in park then use those rubber wheel chocks from horror fraught if I had to park on a hill (rare... I live in FL. We dont have hills).

    TH350 Won't engage park

Bugger. Trans is still in the car. Man this sucks. I literally JUST started getting the car back on the road. It's been going through a rebuild for the last 6 years! The PO said the trans had been rebuilt not too long ago, and a sticker I found on the bellhousing seemed to corroborate that. I...
