Quadrajet idle screws question
How do I get the damn plugs out? Here is what I did. I used a drwl with a cut off wheel to make them flat I then used bit 953 to patiently remove all the metal in a circular pattern. 1985 K20 350ci Engine Swap Choice
Fwiw. I just rebuilt an engine at home and it cost me around $2200 including the purchase of the used engine. To do it again I would have bought an off the shelf, save time money and risk. Just make sure you get a cam that suits your needs- newguy11

Hope the above image is of some help to you. It’s my 1985 305. It shows that the “module” is likely a check valve as mentioned above. Your lines appear have been modified over the years- newguy11

Just about everything is 9/16 , 5/8 or 3/8. I did have a couple oddball metric in my 1985 too. Temp gauge not working
If you grounded out the wire and the needle on the gauge didn’t move then I suspect the 1) wire is broken between the huge and the sender ( wires can break and/or corrode internally. 2) the gauge it self is bad. Do a quick google on checking a wire for resistance (ohms ) and you should be...- newguy11

Thanks guys. Timing is at 4 deg btc. The engine runs best at this spot and more advance she acts up real bad and any less the power is gone. Egr functions. When vacuum is applied it opens but. I have to check and see if the engine “responds” I’m running 93 octane in the north east. I...- newguy11

ESC need someone that knows more about ESC system than I do
Any updates on this one? I’m chasing a persistent ping in my 1985 high Sierra 305. I did the hammer test and the knock sensor works. I couldn’t find any specific info on the tip in switch.
