    700R4 won’t stay in overdrive

That’s fantastic information, thanks for the fast reply. I’ll be reading through your thread. I’ve seen some people recommending to install additional 3-4 clutches, do you think that’s worthwhile or even viable? I’ve also considered installing a larger intercooler, is that worthwhile for normal...

    700R4 won’t stay in overdrive

Howdy all. I have a 91 suburban with a 700R4 transmission that i have a few problems with. Also it may be designated as a 4L60, not positive about that. My main problem is that it won’t stay in overdrive once it warms up. After about 20 miles of highway driving, i can ease off the throttle and...

Show me roof accessories on Suburbans!

Looking to see your Suburbans with any roof accessories - clearance lights, visors, roof racks, antennas, roof mounted tires, etc. Looking for ideas on my wife's build and didn't find any thread like this, so share up! I'll be dumping some pics that I've scoured from the internet as well.

    Suburban barn doors stuck shut

I was able to get it! Had to pull more of the inner trim off, just felt like I was going to break it.

    Suburban barn doors stuck shut

Firstly, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this thread. Somebody let me know if it needs to be elsewhere. I recently bought a new Suburban and the barn door latch is stuck in the depressed position. I'm unable to open the door from the inside or outside, with the key cylinder in...

What have you done to your square lately??

Got new tires for the Suburban. 33/10.50r15 BFG KO2's. Before and after. Really changed the look of the truck.

What have you done to your square lately??

Thank you everybody! :laughing1:This reply is hilarious. Thanks! I used engine degreaser where power steering fluid had sprayed inside the compartment, but that was just one fenderwell and the side of the engine. Everywhere else I just used an old rag and dunked it in a bucket of water. I...

What have you done to your square lately??

Just bought a 91 suburban one week ago and have done several things to it! She got new exhaust, cleaned the throttle body, set timing, cleaned the engine bay, and vacuumed out the inside. Also took off the grandpa looking steps and bug guard. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

What new tools have you got lately?

Just got some new tools to keep in the truck. I keep m18 in the work truck. I like the m12 for smaller stuff Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

Thanks! My plan for now is to repaint the red and to leave the tan in its patina. Maybe clear over it. Also, here's some interior shots I never posted. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

Honestly, it's a Sherwin Williams color match. They came and used their camera. It's very close to my truck. Close enough for a toolbox anyway. I'll probably paint a headache rack to match as well. I haven't decided yet if it's something I'd use on the body, but it's supposed to be heavy duty...

I think you're correct. Only does it after sitting overnight on cool nights. Runs fine if it stayed above 60 or so that night. How would I adjust the choke? Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

Next step on the truck is a new (old) and improved tool box. The new box is period correct and came off of an oilfield truck, which my grandpa bought and used around the farm for a number of years. It's been color matched to two different trucks before this one! It came from the factory white...

Thanks! I'm considering a stock grille if I can find one cheaply. Not sure if I'm committed to the idea or not. The tube grille is growing on me. Yep, sounds like you've run all over my stomping grounds. It ain't a glamorous part of Oklahoma, but I like it here. There are still a lot of good...

As far as I know, it's a stock setup. If it's aftermarket at all, it would have been from two owners ago. It only sounds that good on cold mornings, lol. I just sit outside drinking my coffee and listen to it warming up. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
