    I don't need to be convinced of anything. I can't use any of it when I swap in the Detroit 453T. The drag link is right under the engine and the 4-53 sits way lower than the 6.2.

    Good morning my friend, yeah I know, but after I did the dually conversion it handles like a skateboard. The pizza cutter tires and the lift don't help either. It steers too fast which the crossover steering is is known for.

    Gentlemen, I planned on replacing the steering box on my truck but it has crossover steering. I want to go back to the original stock steering but I have a new 2 wheel drive box. Can I use this box with the difference Pittman arm?

    The GMT400 series trucks had a driver's side transfer case drop because of the fixed front differential and the horrible IFS. So you put it in backwards, no big deal. As said, there is very little clarence between the front driveshaft and the crossmember.

    Gentlemen, I am trying to find a 2wd steering box for my 84K30 with crossover steering. I search for an 84 2wd C30 steering box and come up with nothing. Does anyone have the part number to the box I need? HELP!

    The overall length of the short housing TH350 is 27 5/8. The 700R4 is 27 3/4. There is no need to alter the driveshaft if this is the TH350 you have.

    Swapping in a 700 to replace a 350C

    Be sure to add an oil cooler preferably mounted in from of the radiator. Derale offers a few fan driven coolers of different sizes. Heat is the death of a 700R4 and will burn one up quickly. The aux cooler is pretty much a must.
