Steering box question

Gentlemen, I planned on replacing the steering box on my truck but it has crossover steering. I want to go back to the original stock steering but I have a new 2 wheel drive box. Can I use this box with the difference Pittman arm?

Good morning my friend, yeah I know, but after I did the dually conversion it handles like a skateboard. The pizza cutter tires and the lift don't help either. It steers too fast which the crossover steering

I think they are clocked 90 degrees off from each other.
Hey Craig, so if I clock the pitman arm 90 degrees will it work? I have found pitman arms that are fully splined and not keyed.

I know they say it takes less “effort” to turn them this way... but i think we should look for another issue here. One that springs to mind is the stabilizer for the steering. This can add a little more firmness to the steering. And yes , those tires offer no “drag. “ I truly think changing the steering setup will not provide the results you desire

why not keep the cross over, its a better setup i think.

I know, but I plan on doing a Detroit 4-53 engine swap and the crossover drag link has to go. I just thought I could utilize the new box I have.

well Since there’s obviously no convincing you other wise. At lest sell the drag link, pitman arm, box and high steer arm to those of us that’ll appreciate it. Someone might even help you out and trade you for stock stuff.

well Since there’s obviously no convincing you other wise. At lest sell the drag link, pitman arm, box and high steer arm to those of us that’ll appreciate it. Someone might even help you out and trade you for stock stuff.
I don't need to be convinced of anything. I can't use any of it when I swap in the Detroit 453T. The drag link is right under the engine and the 4-53 sits way lower than the 6.2.

Well that's interesting, is that an ORD drag link that has been bent, or was it fabricated?
