    My 84 K30 has a 6 inch lift with crossover steering. It is far better than the stock steering geometry with the short drag link type in my opinion.

    That looks like ancient radiator sealer. Don't shoot the messenger, but that engine has been overheated and run low on oil so many times it's more than likely done.

    Prolly a stupid question but...T-case slippage.

    Both my M1031 and my M1008 did this also. The locker gets grumpy when you make a sharp turn and get into the throttle. It happened more doing right hand turns though. It's perfectly normal, don't worry about it.

    Go with the 383E stroker, you basically just put your Vortec intake and injector spider in it and drive it. I would upgrade to the MPFI spider though. I did that with headers on my 97 Z71 with the stock 350 Vortec and it was a totally different truck.

When I replaced the box on my 86 M1031, it was the stock 4 wheel drive box, splined with the through bolt on the arm. I can get a fully splined arm which I think...

    Yup, I did a little research, and the 2 wheel drive boxes have a faster ratio. I also found out both 2 and 4 wheel boxes have the same sweep. I would imagine the pitman arm could be turned 90 degrees and use the stock drag link.
