Brake pedal needs manually reset after depressing

So, when you changed the hydroboost did you retain the same plunger rod and did you measure for the correct length? When I put my new hydroboost unit in I had to trim the rod. Get ahold of the folks at powerbrakes.com, they know this stuff!

The colored diagrams found on Ebay from Texas based sellers are amazing. Another great source for manuals is Faxonautoliterature.com I have the set of original parts books and reproduction assembly manuals from them. I have my nose in them a lot.

    Bench Seat ID

I need some help trying to ID my front bench so that I can find covers and seat foam. I am thinking it may be out of a Suburban. The base has been modified to bolt into my 1981 Crew Cab. Thanks.

    Fuel tank relocation??

I hung a 25 gallon Blazer tank in the rear for more range and am using a transfer pump to fill into the right side 20 gallon saddle. As a pilot I like, “The only time you have too much gas is when you are on fire”.

    Crazy question

If you are not overly concerned about the looks, I have successfully covered some large holes using POR15 and fine mesh fibergalss cloth. I apply the POR, cut the mesh to length/width (I have a roll of 1 1/4” wide stuff) lay/inbed the mesh, let it dry, Apply another coat, then top coat with your...

Tailgate window motor trouble for Suburban

Sorry to hear that the rebuilt motor does not seem up to par. I just found a motor for an ‘85 at a recycle yard north of us and am hoping it works, but think the family is planning to send the existing motor through Rock. I did contact a guy, Cadillac Tim, that has rebuilt seat motors for me but...

Crew cab doors and other stuff to get me started

Exactly. Most of the trucks in this country, especially Bristol Bay region, have been used by setnetters on the beach and looked like spawned out salmon.

Crew cab doors and other stuff to get me started

Well, unlike my location, you live in the land of the big BX! It may take some looking but I’ll bet you can find a set for a reasonable price and shipping.

Crew cab doors and other stuff to get me started

I don’t know about the rear door interchange possibilities, but I do know that the time invested in repairing the doors is a considerable amount. My crew project doors had some rot in the bottoms and various mounting holes, dents, etc. I elected to fix them, but would find replacement doors...

Wire crimpers I never knew about. You need this tool!!

I have a similiar set and they are they rock! I took every stitch of wiring out of my daughters 69 SS396 Chevelle, used the complete Autowire set, and never had a wiring glitch after it was on the road. The instrument cluster took the longest amount of time.
