    How about the battery trays and the areas around it like the inner fender and core support? Sure have seen major damage in these areas when a good wash with soda water and thorough rinse once in a while would have prevented it.

    That truck AC equipped? Asking because on the 1981 AC equipped rigs it appears that a separate fusible link feeds the AC/Heater blowers through a relay, enabling the blowers if that link is good when the fusible link feeding your fuse panel could be dead.

    Heck, some of the airplanes I have flown use waaaaay more oil than that! We use to joke about topping off the oil tank and checking the fuel.

    I have done small repairs to the lower corner areas patching smaller pieces in vice trying to form one larger section. Your idea to acquire a replacement section is a good one.

    When you say “harness” did you replace forward, cab, rear harnesses and the wires controlling the tanks from the switch? The cab light is likely staying grounded for some reason.
