    Engine Speed Switch Delete

Thanks! I am confident that the Sniper will take care of deceleration. As a side note, I left both the heavy pink distributor wire and the smaller pink/black wire in the harness as both are a good 12v ignition source and plan to route the heavy pink into a relay prior to feeding the needed...

How to repair a cut dash without welding

I would not be afraid to use the urethane/epoxy structural adhesive vice screws. I have used this stuff for different aplications and it is tenacious stuff!

Need help with engine bay wiring

Interesting to note that the last harness, intermediate rear, that I received from American Autowire has an M&H Electric Fabricators Inc. tag on it. When I called Autowire this week to check the status of the front lighting harness I ordered I asked about the tag and what their relationship with...

    Engine Speed Switch Delete

Looks right. I removed all the cruise control as well. I will get into the harness and terminate what I do not need any longer. Thanks.

    Engine Speed Switch Delete

I had not heard of one either, but my new harness from American Autowire had specific instructions to save the old plug because mew ones are not avbl. I wired it in, but questioned the need. Here is another pic from the service manual shown below what Craig 85 posted:

    Engine Speed Switch Delete

1981 C20, 454, new Holley Sniper EFI with Hyperspark mudule and Dual Sync distributor. I am assuming that since I removed all the emissions equipment, ditched the Quadrajet and the old distributor I can delete the engine speed switch since the speed valve is gone. I cannot see any other...

1980s Cab and Front Sheet Metal on 1970s Frame

I am putting 1981 C20 (454/TH400) metal/engine on a 1980 K30 (350/TH400) frame. I am using energy suspension rubber mounts and my own fabricated plates/bushings. The cab mounting locations are the same but the heights differ. I had to move the core support mounting holes rearward about an inch...

If you can find a part number, that would be great.

6 hole, 11.5” centers flexplate Mark IV 454

Tearing my grey hairs out here after the third flexplate I ordered did not fit. My existing setup is the Mark IV 454 with 2-piece rear main seal, 6-hole torque converter with hole centers (straight across) of approx. 11.5” spread, 6-hole single pattern flexplate stamped 7 993. The flexplate has...

    Tracking device for square bodies?

We recently used a Trak-4 unit to track the movement of my daughter’s Chevelle during shipping from Alaska to New Mexico and it worked well and the price was very reasonable.

    Motor mount question

I am using a 1980 K30 frame that had a 350 to put my 1981 C20 body on as well as installing the 454 that was in the C20. The mounting holes were close, but I had to weld up the old holes and drill new ones. You can see in the pic the pilot holes for new locations versus the factory elogated holes.

    Seam sealer recommendations

I would not be afraid to pound it as flat as you can, cut two pieces for top and bottom to cover the hole and use structural adhesive. The stuff is great.

how hard is it to rebuild a 205 - what might be needed from a shop

These two gems have been invaluable during my project and both hold 350 pounds. The exam table is electric and runs down to about 14”. The lift is manual hydraulic and the supports legs can be moved closer/further apart with a lever.

Are fuel necks interchangeable in square door beds?

I replaced the hokey screwd on cover for the passenger side filler and added one to the driver side rear using cut outs from donors. I flanged the new opening, applied panel adhesive and used clecos to hold them in place.

Are fuel necks interchangeable in square door beds?

I have two of the “saddle” type, one for the main and aux side tanks, and used a flanged (circle) version for my additional tank in the rear. Just used some flat bar and a little welding and they mount fine.

2WD or 4WD Front Splash Seals

Getting ready to make an order and need answers. I am using my 1981 C20 Front/Cab and bed to mount on my 1979 K30 frame and running gear. What’s the difference between the 2WD and the 4WD front splash seals? Are the inner fenders on the 4WD different? Thanks.

    air/oil separator install

I have had them on several of my airplanes. Typically, there is a tube that comes from the case breather that runs down the firewall and terminates as it enters the slipstream area at the bottom of the cowling, allowing the oil/moisture vapors to escape, but makes a mess on the belly. The...
