    I just put a dana 44 cover on it and it fit perfectly. Does the chevy 10 bolt have the same cover as dana 44?

    Yeah it's a 10 bolt dana 44 on the front and the rear is a 12 bolt. I'm going to opt for heavy duty diff covers instead of skid plates

    I pulled the cable and spun it with my drill and the odometer and speedometer both work. So it's not the gauges or the cable and there's no cruise control. Based on what you said, it's the transmission. Is this a difficult repair? I'm learning as I go here

    The horn button doesn't work. I removed it and found it was broken and the PO just glued it in place for show. I'll look for that heavy green wire. At this point I'd be happy with a separate horn button on the dash so if I can find the correct wires I'll be happy

    The lights all work however there are no horns in the car. One of the POs removed them and never put in replacements and the wiring that should be there according to a diagram I found is nowhere to be found. I did find the horn relay but it doesn't do much without the horns.

    It's too fast. I'll be going about 15 mph and the speedometer will say 90. It also bounces around and it's not consistently inaccurate. I'll look into the gears!
