    Parting Out 2001 Tahoe

Looks like according to RockAuto the window switches. I couldn't find anything on the climate control but it was sitting without a windshield before I got it so I'm not sure what king of shape it's in. If you're in the area again you're welcome to drop by and have a look.

    Parting Out 2001 Tahoe

Sorry, haven't been on in a while. The front seats are pretty much trashed.

    Parting Out 2001 Tahoe

I'd prefer not to ship however smaller parts are negotiable. Zip is 47802/ Terre Haute, IN. Engine and rear axle are sold. Interior is pretty rough, body is junk. Parting out a 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Truck was in a rollover accident and most body panels are unusable. Transfer Case $400 4L60e trans...

    Backup Camera Wiring

Working on a backup cam in my 88 Burb that should run through my Kenwood stereo. It needs a backup light input to switch the radio to display the camera. Does one exist in the truck or am I stuck putting it on a toggle switch?

    Hot Rod Power Tour 2017

Is anyone taking their square on the HRPT this year. Right now I'm planning on my Vette going and using my 88 R10 as a support vehicle to carry tools, beer and other necessities. If the Vette can’t make it then the Burb will go alone and unafraid.

    Wheel offset question

I'm not a fan either but they are handy and probably why the body is in such good shape.

    Wheel offset question

It's easier to change tires if the truck's upside down. I'd love to ditch the running boards but it's a family hauler and mama likes 'em.

    Wheel offset question

I really just need to measure the thing and the 3 different sets of 15" rims to figure out how much of a margin I have to work with. Never understood the switch from C/K to R/V. I would have liked a 4wd, but being 2wd probably saved the body and I would have never got one with a transfer case...

    Wheel offset question

I'm going to run as close to original overall diameter as possible. I'm trying to make room for the Wilwood calipers already on the front and a disc brake setup on the back without throwing off the speedo too much or destroying the ride quality. Thanks for your help.

    Wheel offset question

Looking at 17x7 or 17x8 wheels for my 88 R10 burb. Emailed Jeg's and they said a 0mm offset wheel would fit my ride. I'd just like to confirm with folks that know our trucks that these wheels will fit properly. Also, a 0 offset on a 7" wide wheel would equal 3.5" backspacing, correct?

    Anyone running Ridler wheels

Well I wanted to run the aluminum rally wheels from LMC/Year One so they would clear those fancy Wilwood calipers but they are a little expensive and this happened with both rear tires and I'm sure the fronts aren't much better.

    Anyone running Ridler wheels

Thinking of running a set of 17x7 Ridler 695's on my 88 R10 Suburban and want to see what others are running as far as backspacing and tire size.

    Thoughts on a driveline wobble

The Daytona's were on my truck and I bought them new in 04. The Burb came with Mastercraft Avenger GT's. No idea how old they are but they aren't long for this world. I think this is the solution.

    Thoughts on a driveline wobble

Well bucket you were correct. Both back tires are coming apart. Looks like she's going to need new shoes.

    Thoughts on a driveline wobble

Everything looks right underneath it and movement in the bearing is pretty minimal. I had the truck out a week ago and accelerated hard pulling into traffic and it felt like the rear end was coming out from under it. No funny noises but felt all wrong. Maybe it's a trans mount or something like...

    Thoughts on a driveline wobble

I've had some lumpy dry rotted tires, some that have had broken cords inside and some that were flat-spotted from sitting. Sometimes they're obviously bad and other times you don't know until they start flinging tread.

    Thoughts on a driveline wobble

That's a possibility, it's still running the wheels and tires it had when I bought it and I've had to plug one a while back. It's an intermittent issue so I was leaning away from a bad tire but swapping from my other truck for a day or two would help narrow it down.

    Thoughts on a driveline wobble

88 Suburban 1/2 ton 2wd. It has a pretty serious wobble. It's not a vibration but an actual, makes the truck rock wobble. My first thought is carrier bearing. It doesn't happen all the time but it occurs under acceleration and while maintaining speed but worse while accelerating. I climbed under...

    Found this yesterday

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, and I don't have anything to put it in since both my squares have been cut for modern radios. Maybe someday I'll find an original truck that needs it.
