    86 K20 parts

It drove off the trailer and up the driveway. Then it drove out of the driveway, turned around and back up the driveway. That's all I can vouch for. Price will reflect this.

    Timing issues

Being off a tooth shouldn't cause the problem. Sounds like something else going on. I would guess maybe stuck advance weights. More info needed.

    Hypothetical SBC question

Check out the Pontiac Trophy-4 engines that could be had in 61-63 Tempests. It was half of a 389 v8.

    master cylinder issues cont.

Could be the brake pedal is dry/rusty where the pivot bolt goes thru up under the dash. Try loosening the nut just a little bit and turn the bolt a few times. If it doesn't turn easy squirt some penetrating oil up in there. You might even have to take the pedal out and clean it up.

    I made it home anyway.

Had a 68 C10. 307/3 on the tree. The seat bolts were rusted clear out of the floor. The doors would fly open going around corners. If you opened both doors at the same time they wouldn't close until you "squatted" the cab roof and had a buddy slam one. No turn signals or brake lights and a...

87 burb 3/4 drum rear brakes

The self adjusters are only there to kinda sorta keep them adjusted during normal driving after they've been adjusted manually. They don't necessarily adjust evenly and the brakes probably didn't need exactly the same adjustment when you hung the shoes. And the self adjusters don't know or care...

    Couple of suspension questions

Shocks won't lift it. Springs hold it up. Shocks just control the springs so they don't keep bouncing. Your old springs have probably sagged so new should give you a little more ride height. Have you considered a body lift?

87 burb 3/4 drum rear brakes

Only one way. Jack it up, neutral, adjuster spoon or screwdriver thru the little window in the backing plate to turn the adjuster wheel. Spin the tire while you're adjusting until you feel a slight drag then pump the brakes and check it again.

    no fluid to right caliper

Back when I usta be a mechanic I "fixed" several hoses by slightly prying the bracket open. It might get you home but I'd still replace the hose asap when that happens.

88 4wd Suburban 1/2T. Front brake issues, time to rebuid- or upgrade?

Did you check the adjustment on the rear brakes? That may be contributing to the low pedal.

Can someone help me with this flip kit?

I've never done that job but it kinda looks like a pry bar or ratchet straps would line stuff up. There's quite a bit of side flex in the springs and it looks like some tolerance on the flip bracket.

How Fast Can A Squarebody Go?

I had my last one up to 100 on the speedo once. Just for a second to see if it could. It did but it didn't like it. It had 4.10s, 35s, 4spd, 205. The engine wasn't stock tho. '78 350 with flat top pistons (9.5:1?), a little cam, Holley, Edelbrock , headers, MSD. I've had my "new" one up to 55.:)

Would 12 volts on a 6 volt system kill your ignition system if its not converted?

Need a lot more info. I wouldn't just hook up a 12 volt battery. Minimum you'd need a 12 volt coil and alternater. Also plenty of the old 6 volt stuff was positive ground. Any 6 volt bulbs need replaced. Sketchy wiring??? Lots of questions to answer. Doo a search on the intergoogle for how to...
