No door locks on my 76 C10

Take the door panels off and take a look-see where the door locks are supposed to be.

Have no idea what these tubes are!

That y-ish Tee comes off the side of the carb. There should be a little piece on the carb that goes into the Tee, one end of the tee goes to the bottom of the air cleaner and the other end goes to a thermo switch around the thermostat. The distributor was also originally plumbed into this switch...

    Hello From Jonesport, Maine!!

:welcome: from northern IL! That dually is one sexy beast! I'm originally from MA. Had my 1st class Fireman before I moved to IL. They wanted me to go to college to run a boiler. pffft! lol I had the experience but not the schooling and they didn't like that.

    What do y’all think?

Stock suspension and 33's. If you got the 3 leaf fronts it will work perfect. I have the 2 leafs (leaves?) and 33's. Unless you plan on doing some wheelin', then lift it.

'75 K25 Front Leaf Spring Bushing replacement - bolts stuck

I did my front eye bushings over the summer and used the same procedure. My bolts came out but I have cut them off from inside the frame on other trucks. Then used a drill bit to "chew" out the rubber and then a hammer and chisel or punch to collapse the outer sleeve and knock that out. We have...

    Wheel and Tire thread

@AuroraGirl is on the right track. I've also heard the front is wider than the rear for better turning stability and better turning radius, at least for these types of trucks.

    Small block or Big block?

In that thing? Definitely a 454! 8.1 swap if you don't want to upgrade the engine as the aftermarket sucks for the engine. Gen VI if you want to mod it.

    whacked column

Nice truck and a shame what they did to your column! I have an auto tilt column out of a '75 if you want to come pick it up around Chicago, lol. Funny how some people are good with computers and some aren't. About 5 years ago my 87yo grandmother bought my 90yo grandfather a new computer for...

    Help...lol

I see it's a K10, so that's a plus. Are you doing a resto on the truck? Or just looking to replace the rotted mounts? If you're doing a resto then a junkyard or Ebay, also there is a FB site for squarebodies and parts which I believe is in Indiana. If you're just looking to replace the rotted...

    Driveshaft help

Me too. But Denny's Driveshaft lists all the yokes by O.D. and wall thickness. I have a 3.5" o.d. shaft. That was the easy part lol I forgot to keep the driveshaft from my '75. Would have been easy if I did that lol

    Driveshaft help

Thanks for all the input guys! I've done driveshaft mods before but I just don't know the wall thickness of the factory driveshaft. It's either 0.065 or 0.083. $50 and $25 respectively for the weld in yoke to convert it to a 1410. If anyone has a stock rear driveshaft they feel like cutting open...

    Driveshaft help

Getting closer to installing my axles under the Suburban. One last item I was researching brought me to a halt. That would be the rear u-joint. The Suburban has a 1310, the 2002 rear, a 1410 (1.188 cap x 4.18oal). There is no conversion joint for these sizes so I need to rethink driveshaft...

What have you done to your square lately??

Yup, I'm sure this stuff was super old and the cheap stuff. The conventional ammonia and trash bag or heat gun didn't work. The heat gun and razor blade did. Then I had to spray the windows down with GooGone and scrape them again. Then washed them with Windex. Took about 3 hours but it's done now.
