This is the rebuild kit for the carb. Looks like a bunch of universal stuff in here. Loose clips and check balls too. This is what I do with a hydraulic lifter but if you have solid lifters don't do this. Your valves will stay open lol. I am guessing that you have hydraulic lifters but just in case.- TravisB

How to get 2 inch drop on 91 r1500
Some say you can get away with a flip kit without notching. It would all depend on whether your axle hits the bump stop after you lower it and how much that bothers you. Yeah if your measurements are off from the front to back axle then I would think something is up. I have never measured it but I can't see how you could have moved it 3 inches unless you just didn't put the pin in the spring pad when you put the axle back under the truck. Shouldn't need to be unweighted to grease them. I would have guessed the zerk fittings but if you changed them... is your grease gun the problem? With new ones I am not sure what to tell you. On Second read through, can you explain this more? That could be a simple alignment thing if you measured front of the wheel to the front of the wheel on the other side. 3 inches is a lot to drive it like that but you can adjust that out in the tie rods. What have you done to your square lately??
My worry with that would be stuff hanging in the holes. Like tabs that are welded on parts you're dragging in and out and muffler hangers etc. Then there's the loose nuts and bolts that will get down in there and never come out or the dirt that will collect in the holes. I think it will solve... -
