What causes cylinder wear like this?

@Ricko1966 I just cleaned the top of one and it's so hard to tell but I honestly think it's starting to make a ridge. It looks like maybe the honed it and did rings but I Don't think they bored it out but not totally sure. Has 1.00 on piston. You can see water marks on walls too.

Could still be carb. Or could be timing issue. Or possibly a vacuum leak

Edelbrock 750 cfm or 600 cfm carburetor for 454 stock engine.

It's probably boiling the fuel from heat. Maybe float is high. Fuel expands when hot. If you're fuel line runs along the intake or valve cover it should be moved or insulated underneath it to help. And a 750 edelbrock is usually jetted for a big block I think. No comments on the solenoid other...

Is it because they need to be installed and when pulled tight they will skinny up? Could you put one on and slide spring over it that way for a test?

Any Tricks for stuck oil filter ?

Looks like you might git it figured or off by now but I'll throw out some ideas. In the past ive had to use: of course a screwdriver lol. Serpentine belt with vice grips. Chain wrench. Big channelocks work good too. Pipe wrench. Chizzel on an old crusty one.

My wife is small and is pregnant

Heres a true story. I've got no pics but when my wife was pregnant with my youngest she couldn't get into Big Yellow without help, so I had a small step stool and attached a pull rope starter to it so she could pull it in after she sat down. Used a 5 gallon bucket for a while before the pull...

Wheel almost fell off while driving…help

Aluminum wheels usually need retorqued sometimes because there soft. Or your lugs are a little too small. Maybe needs a bigger acorn. Just my thoughts. I've had a wheel come off before a couple times. Once it was because I found some spare lugs and they even torqued up good like normal so i...
