How often should the a/c cycle while cruising? (Other vehicles)

Thank you fast 99, I added a gauge on the hood to go with the light and was able to test drive while watching both. I watched it and adjusted it to a good acceptable level and it stayed around 55ish# fluctuating up and down 5-10# depending on what speed and work the engine had to do. did some...

How often should the a/c cycle while cruising? (Other vehicles)

On a jeep liberty 3.7l v6. The compressor stays on pretty good while sitting and idling. Just replaced bad electric fan. While cruising the compressor cycles on and off pretty frequently. I added a little and still did it but seemed to delay the start of the frequent cycling. Any thoughts on if...

What causes cylinder wear like this?

@Doppleganger I'll look it up what you said. At my very first job I worked for an old timer mechanic/maxhinest/ equipment repair in a very small farm town. He was the guy. He sprayed his head gaskets with high metallic paints. Once we reused one at least 3 times on a 3 cylinder diesel and it...

What causes cylinder wear like this?

Got a new cometic gasket. The old gasket was sprayed with copper. Like the spray one would use when using a shim. Not sure if I should find the spray and do it or not. Probably though

    Modulator vacuum line

On my truck I'm using a rubber fuel hose for temporary. The previous rubber hose got so soft that it wouldn't stay on the nipple anymore. I'm planning to run some brake line out of the way and use rubber at each end Like it should be.

    Loss of power and shaking

Only so you can watch it move. I never need to watch to test a pod, I just suggested it because I don't know what you know. It's just easier with cap off so you can watch it. Also I've had a working pod but the weights were frozen and not advancing. That I would not have seen with cap on still.

    Loss of power and shaking

Im not the best at explaining. Vacuum pod is on distributor. With cap loose and hose off of carb you can suck on the hose and pull Vacuum to see if pod pulls advance plate or not. If it moves and holds its good. If it tries to move then springs back it's leaking. Hope that makes sense

What causes cylinder wear like this?

I found a 180° thermostat in it. Wasn't smoking. We're going to put a gasket on and run it. I'm going to straight edge check head but he said he noticed it was pushing fluid and brought it over but wasn't getting hot according to the gauge.
