C10 LIMITED SLIP VS LOCKER VS SPOOL

The constant slamming thru the drivetrain when turning. It was actually difficult to shift in turns because of the locking and unlocking of the differential. It wasn't noticeable when I had the automatic. I didn't know what to expect, I never had a locker before.

    Machine gun sounds at speed

Glad you found it. Most people don't realize that driveshaft angle changes under load. At 40 mph the drivetrain is under load just from the wind resistance. That's why it's usually set at about 3 degrees static and moves close to zero while driving. And before someone chimes in, driveshaft angle...

Is this something that just started out of nowhere? Something had to change as those circuits aren't related. That or it needs an exorcism.

    A/C only works when driving!?

Is the blower motor on when stopped? Yes= It's a vent issue (vacuum and flaps). No=It's a motor or voltage supply issue. Anything temperature related will only affect the compressor operation via the hi/lo switch. Engine temp/fan clutch is irrelevant.

    Tina King Chevy/GMC seatbelts

Cut the webbing so you can dissasemble everything. Clean, lube and put it back together. Tape the belt together and send them to the place I mentioned. They will reweb them and your belts will be like brand new and OEM quality. $99/belt. 2-3 point doesn't matter. Since my plastic covers were...

    Cooling Questions and Concerns

Why wouldn't they be that hot? It should be the same temp as the rest of the system. Mine has a solenoid valve that blocks off the heater core completely unless I want heat inside. If piping hot means 200 degrees your worrying about nothing. Those temps are actually pretty cold, partly because...

I hate the power window and door lock switches

Get the Autolocs, ditch the factory switches altogether and look cool at the same time. BTW, how does a manual go dead?

    383 FI Swap from 350

Keep in mind that FI does NOT make any more power than a well tuned carb. The benefit is drivability and slight economy. The difference you feel is throttle response because it's a "dry" system. Our brains assume that quicker throttle response=faster which in not always the case.

    Cooling Questions and Concerns

"Fire" you say? Just FYI, Something is “red hot” from 977 degrees Fahrenheit to 1,830 degrees. Orange flames burn at 2,010 to 2,190 degrees. The hottest flame, white, burns at an incredible 2,370 to 2,730 degrees. I want to know what brand of heater hoses you're using! But seriously, I...
