WebMonkey's latest melt down, poor ol' me, hissy fit. (yes, I'm WebMonkey)

An LS swap won't fix your brake or ambient temperature dilemma but it will make you care about them a whole lot less.

    Changing gear ratios: opinions/suggestions wanted!!

This thread is a rabbit hole. lol. Having done about 95% of what everyone has suggested I can tell you what I settled on. But as was stated, different strokes for different folks. I will say this; it's like that song about bones, they are all connected. Gaining OD is great until you realize your...

    Anyone running Wilwood clutch master

Why not keep it simple and use OEM replacement parts? I got the master, slave and hose from Rockauto. Price was pretty cheap actually and it's worked flawless for 2+ years. What year is your truck? Is this a transplant?

    Huck's daily - 2005 Z71 crewcab

My first thought was going to be LS Swap. But, I guess you will have to settle for an LS upgrade to a 6.0 :laughing1: Looks pretty clean. I can honestly say that's the first Cat Eye I have ever seen where the front bumper/fascia doesn't look like it's having a stroke :sad72: I don't know what it...

New build 454 and the wife hates the exhaust smell

People tend to think that EFI is precise and therefore there is little to no emissions. Wrong. It's much better than a carb by design but any internal combustion engine produces emissions regardless of the AFR. After putting PF4 on my truck my buddy asked me why it still stunk. I could only...

Excellent writeup. I put the magnaflo cat on mine and it's 95% improved. Zero loss in power.

    Help with grinding/whirring sound!

No but it's probably bearings somewhere in the drivetrain. Wheel, Axle or carrier. Do you have a 2 piece driveshaft? Also check brake drums for worn and out of round. Metal contracts when cool, expands when hot.

https://torqueking.com/ These guys are experts and have anything you might need. They carry the good stuff and have excellent customer service. I have rebuilt 2 t-cases and an NV4500 using them.

Installing a New Exhaust System Including Headers

I agree 100% with Fred. And, I'll add the Hooker Cast manifolds are even better. But, I doubt the OP is going to change course at this point if he's spent big bucks on Ceramic Coated Long Tubers.
