    4 Inch Lift kits

Tough country has lifts also. I don't have a lift on my 85 truck so can't speak from experience. From what I've read the ride will be rough with that brand. It's in the name :). Those tires will be a bit on the small size with a lift. I'm running 32-11.5-16"s on my truck. In reality none of the...

    Sbc dumping oil

I usually tap the bypass port and put a plug in it. If you change your oil regularly it's a non-factor. By all means replace the cracked adaptor.

AC/Heat vacuum selector valve part #

Good luck finding a new unit. I got lucky and found a new in the box GM unit last year. It took many searches to find one. I got the last one from them. I had issues with the plastic, rubber, socket that the vacuum lines plugged into. The part that goes on the switch #6. I found one at the junk...

    Front posi-traction differential

I don't see why any posi type diff wouldn't work. I would not recommend a locker for the front diff.

    Rear Shackle Bushing - Replaceable?

Yes they are replaceable. The price of a new bracket with the bushing installed is not much more than the bushing and work needed to remove the old one.

Looks like I have to rebuild or replace my 350 in Houston area

You could try Thunderbolt they have been in business for years. They are on the North Side of Houston. You are experiencing why most of us prefer to work on our own junk. Most shops today don't give a rat azz about quality. The satisfaction of doing the job yourself is an awesome feeling...

    Newbie Vortec Cam Question

My combo is a GM crate 350. The low compression 250 HP version. I went with GM Vortech heads , summit long tubes, the Jeg's intake, eddy 650, MSD 6al and the GM HT 383 motor roller cam. This combo makes good torque even with 3:08's and a turbo 350 tranny. I spent the money on the roller set up...

    Newbie Vortec Cam Question

Thats a lot of intake for a mild 350 build. Is it a single plane intake with a 3000 to 7000 rpm power band. Personally I would look for a cheap dual plane low rise intake for your build. Jeg's has a nice intake.

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

I used front spacers on my 99 Camaro. Had to do this to run skinny tires and wheels. Front Runners. I did replace the stock wheel studs with ARP front and back.

    12 Valve swap

There is a bunch of info on U-Tube of these builds. The first step is welding the front frame for added strength. Do to the weight of the engine and the torque it will produce. I think someone on here has a build thread going . You can do a search to try and find the thread.

87 Stock TBI 350 air cleaner lid flip upside down? Does it help? does it hurt? good or bad idea?

You could make one with silicone adaptors , and flex line from spectra. Summit and Jegs carry these parts .

    New tires and painted rims!

I'm digging the headache rack with integrated bed rails. The wheels do look good. They are needing some dog dish caps.

    Headache rack ideas

The ones that I've looked at fit the width of the bed fine . It's that they are a foot taller then the cab.

Sealing the wiper motor connector, removing the delay module, and replacing the motor fixed my wipers.

    Cowl Hood

Spectra makes an enclosed housing that has ducts which you run to the stock air inlet openings on the core support. It has a drop-down base. It might be worth looking into.

    Anybody have shorty headers?

The Hookers are really nice. I think they need a pair of twins to go with them . Can you say TURBO's

    Anybody have shorty headers?

Why go with a short type header? There's not much to gain over an exhaust manifold. IMHOP. I went with a Summit long tube on my K-10. But I'm the guy that does have shorties on my 04 2500 HD. I went with them because I didn't want to spend the $$ for new cats and messing with the factory SS...
