    I jumped the switch and the compressor ran. It didn't sound all that healthy, but it ran. I bought 3 cans of r12 on my way home from work, too. Trying to decide if I should try to charge it. :D

    Yep, I used a polyester glazing compound like bucket suggested, then hit it with spray bedliner. It didn't come out too bad. I'm planning on painting it brown.

I found the manual for my Mazda, and it says you can choose to run the AC on defrost "if dehumidified drying is desired, turn on the air conditioner". And "for maximum defrosting, turn on...

    I guess I never really thought about it, but it makes sense. My 90 Civic that I put like 200k on had a separate switch for AC, though. Maybe it ran even when the light said it was off? My truck doesn't have ac, but hopefully I can fix that.

    Hmm......I could do that. Like just with vinyl and glue? I saw someone do that on a square, though, and it looked like total shit. It has to be doable, though.

    Trying to decide what to glaze it with. I don't have epoxy, but I'm a little hesitant on using bondo. Would bondo glass work? I don't have bedliner, either. And I don't want black, I want stockish brown. I have a can of white flex seal, but that's not brown, either. Hmm.....

    I sprayed it on and used a putty knife. Let it sit for an hour and trimmed it with a chef knife from the kitchen. I'd use a super sharp knife.

    So I burned up my dremel grinding out the cracks (don't make them like they used to), so I just used a 4" angle grinder with a cutting wheel. Honestly, it worked better.

    Ok, so I was digging under my sink today, found an old can of great stuff foam sealant, and remembered that thread where some dude re-did his dash pad with it. I don't have any fucks any more, and I don't think you can really hurt a square body dash pad any more than it already is, so fuck it...
