That's even more interesting, because according to most everyone else, you and I are most definitely in the minority.

Lol... that's terrible.
My rh side never worked. I was messing with the switch one day (and put it back to lh) but didn't realize it wasn't completely switched.
No start.
It wasn't until the next that I realized it.
Doh.

While I was under there measuring, it reminded me why I bought it.
Despite the issues, shes a pretty solid truck. The rest is just details, right?
A few grand in parts, some paint, whatever. :D
I'm getting my chain hoist set up in the garage to pull this bed off. 4 bolts down, 4 to go...
Yeah, but that could be a good thing. 20s with a reserve. :D
At least your gas gauge kinda works, though. I got nothing.
I will soon, though.
All new tanks, straps, senders, pumps, switch valve, etc.

This is what I'd like to know.
On my truck, some dude would have to be like "oh yeah, I want A/C. And the power options. Give me a Silverado with a a locking diff and a/c.
But $3 extra for 20gal tanks!? That's ridiculous! "
Damn. We're about a $1 less here, and I thought that was bad. I'm like 16 miles from work.
My Mazda 6 is about 430 miles on a 16gal tank.

Nice.
See, I would do something like that.
I need to look around here some more.
I wonder if my work supplier would give me a deal like that?

I think there would be an issue with the filler necks, though, which was my concern.
Looking at the book, they appear to be quite different, and I didn't want another $100 in parts.
I'm like 99.9% sure these are stock, so they must have come either way?

I was wondering if it was. Only one guy said it that I could find.
I wonder why mine has 16s, though. Just a fluke? Special order?
Seems like a stupid special order. Lol...

Ok, so I ordered 2 new fuel tanks for my 1987 V10 long bed with dual tanks.
I ordered 2 of the 16gal ones.
So then my lmc catalog comes while I'm waiting, I'm flipping through it, come to fuel tanks, and it says that long bed trucks come with 20gal tanks!
Sonofabitch.
So I'm checking forums...
I need to get a bottle, too.
I used to just borrow them from the shop at work and nobody cared, but now there's a lot of bs involved.
Speaking of laying bottles down for transport, my dumb ass had a full size bottle of argon rolling around in the back of my Cherokee one day when the cap popped...
This is all very true, but I think what happened with these trucks is that soooooo many people had them that the demand is high as well.
I saw 3 or 4 just yesterday on my way home from work, but I've also had 2 people randomly stop at my house in the last 2wks and ask if I'd consider selling...
I've chopped up a bunch of aluminum with a carbide wood blade on a shitty 10" HF miter. I did tops and bottoms of like 8 aluminium cored 4x4 porch posts last year when I rebuilt my balcony.
Never used a hardcore steel cutting blade on a circular saw, though. That's pretty cool.
And big ten...
It's up under the brake pedal. Keep looking up. It's a pain in the ass. Click the switch and trace it down.
If it helps any, your power door locks work 50% better than mine.
Same here. The guy I bought my truck from wanted like $4k and said "have you seen what these are going for?"
I tried to explain that what they were ACTUALLY going for wasn't what people were asking. Lol...
I feel like I slightly overpaid at $1,500, to be honest.
These trucks are still around...
