The cable being loose could've been the culprit...seen that before at my part time job. Also curious if you have a bad coil or maybe the dizzy is bad?- Jarhead79

Not that this is your issue but something I had happen while temporarily installing a tach. No problem hate to pitch em but no one around here wants to buy em....lol sure not worth much but a budget stock rebuild theyd be perfect for.- Jarhead79

I've got eight of these pistons sitting at the machine shop. Would just have to get them off my rods. Not sure if they'll be exactly what yours is but they're dished with four valve openings in them identical to yours. Pretty sure they are stock bore and I won't be using them- Jarhead79

If no damage to the cylinder I'd say just fix the piston and rod. But I wonder though, if the cam lobe took any abuse when the push rod bent?- Jarhead79

I'll have to get a pic, the one I'm after is like a metal rod about the same thickness as a pencil maybe a little smaller and is bent into a loop that the cable passes through -

Looking for the passenger side brake cable wire hanger for my truck mine is all jacked up. -
doing my own body work?
Just a word of advice on body work. Find ya a fender, or hood, or something to tinker with. Pulling a dent isn't as easy as it seems. You can use a stud gun and pull the center part of a dent out but the outside edges of a dent create high spots, a hammer and dolly can fix those but finessing...- Jarhead79
