    Darnedest thing....sudden stop

    Truck at operating temp died again at light. New fuel filter. Test drove, after 20min test drive...truck died at stop light. If I wait about 30-60sec...it fires rite back up again...until the next time. WTH!?!

    I have ordered the 65/57 rods and will put them in when they arrive. My timings is 16 and my vacuum advance is 12. I can roll the tires from a dead stop but i feel like the secondaries should be more help. Maybe the rods will trip that barrier....I'll report back next week when I know more.

    68/42 rods, pink springs and fuel pump shot at bottom hole for max shot. The carb has always had a flat spot so Edelbrock recommended those rods and springs to eliminate that dead zone. First I tried moving the pump shot arm from least, top hole, to most, bottom hole...but that did not solve...

    I'll up my existing .089 to .095 first. I'll leave the vacuum advance where it is. I'll do that warm engine diagnostic as you describe....that part confuses me but I'll try. I'll ignore the edelbrock guys advice for now and try it your way first.

    The rubber is new. No obstructions. The door closes...and stays closed but it's like the door latch is t grabbing the striker deep enough....if that makes any sense...so the door looks open like 1/4" and you can push the door in that far.

    Not sure what's happening here

    Comparing to what I've seen on mine...you're good. New Felpros and silicon on front and rear ends and you'll be fine. Just needed maintenance TLC. Do yourself a favor...buy new intake bolts too and remember to tighten like lug nuts....across. You'll probably notice it runs a little better...

    Edelbrock WTH!?!

    I had to get the phenolic spacer 4 years ago when I bought the truck due to vapor lock. No such issues since then and we've had 4 years of hot summer days without this sudden issue.
