Driving for 15min...cruising around town....truck dies at the red light. I was stopped and a couple seconds later....dead. Of course 8300 people behind me. Turns over but won't fire! I pump like hell & keep trying. Choke light on. Pop hood...make sure choke wire didn't fall off...get back in...pump pedal turn key...nuthing. Switch from tank to tank. Pump pedal turn key...nothing. Wait 10 seconds. Pump pedal turn key....away we go. Has never done it before or since!

I have a phenolic spacer cause when I bought it it'd vapor lock, but since I added that no issues.

Have the fuel pumps been making any noise lately?

Truck at operating temp died again at light. New fuel filter. Test drove, after 20min test drive...truck died at stop light. If I wait about 30-60sec...it fires rite back up again...until the next time. WTH!?!

It's either a fuel or spark issue. You got a new filter, but have you pulled the line and cranked it to see if there is any irregular flow?

Check all the connections to and from the distributor too.

The ignition control module went out on my suburban a week after I bought it. Thankfully it was down the street from my house. Great way to get acquainted though.. pulling the distributor to change the module and the pickup coil.
