    it is usually buried up in the dash. some have found them next to the brake pedal, above the heater box, above the fuse box or even behind the radio... it will look similar to this...

    if by fuse I hope you mean relay.. because that is what the door locks use. the power window not working could be just the switch or the motor/regulator is gone.

    like firebane said -pull valve covers and get the numbers for the heads -on the Holley, give us the numbers on the air horn (take off air cleaner) so we know what model it is. -you do need a fuel regulator for that electric pump -sounds like strictly a carb problem, holleys can be tuned...

    Lockup feels like another gear. It allows the engine to ruin at lower rpm at cruising speed. Easiest way to test its to get up around 60.     Ok, so when you go from 4 HI to 2 hi. You must stop and reverse some. You will hear a click and the should be the auto hubs disengagement.

    That is a 208 shift pattern. The 208 should be punch stamped into the tag. Get some brake cleaner and spray that sucker clean, maybe it will show up.

    Auto hubs must be disengaged when put back into 2wd. You must reverse up to ten feet. Mine disengaged at the slightest backing up. Other wise they click when you go down the road in 2wd after being in 4. Did they even put auto hubs on 205's? What is your shift pattern ? 4L 2 N 4H or 2WD 4HI N 4LO

    interesting.... a lack of ground is infinite ohms which is why the gauge pegs way past full. Then again, corroded grounds cause all kinds of weird results when it comes to these trucks.

    it is definitely not a ground problem. If it were, your fuel gauge would be pegged to the 3 o clock position. The gauge reads 0-90 ohms. 0 = empty and 90(ish) reads full. You could start by taking off the wire at the top of the tank, which is the ground. See if your gauge pegs to the 3 o...

    the floor pan is different on a 2wd truck, it is missing the "high hump" for the 4x4 clearance. 2wd floor is flat.

    So did mine, but a test light is misleading. I wasnt getting but around 5v. Enough to light a test light, not enough to energize a lock actuator. A multimeter would be best as I found out.

    My truck would lock, but not unlock. Switches were bad. Replace yours, its cheap.

    83's look nothing like any of those diagrams... I found them confusing when I was doing mine and tried to use that page. Especially the fuse blocks and lack relays in them. The tests are good though. Well at least my truck didnt look like those... his might I don't know.
