    the numbers you really want to find will be on the front of the passenger side tube. they are stamped into the tube, they can be "scratched" off pretty easy since they look hand punched to me.... although you already know they gear ratio but it will tell you a little more.

    If its just a visual inspection of the engine bay, why dont you just run some vacuum hoses as close to the diagram as you can get so it will look like it passes. Thank god it is only a visual safety inspection where I live. Basically do you got brakes horn turn signals and headlights.

    If you pop the hood and look at the radiator support.. there will be a sticker that has a diagram of how the emissions hoses should be on your truck.

    Yeah that is going the opposite way I was thinking. That is almost like you have a NEGATIVE resistance. The gauge reads 0 - 90 ohms. FULL is 88 ohms, Empty is ZERO ohms. When you have a broken wire or bad ground it reads INFINITE ohms and goes to 3 o clock position past the FULL mark...

    pic? sounds like the gauge is broken internally. I bet you have a bad ground which takes it to 3 o clock and something broken internally on the gauge and that takes it to 6 o clock.

    what is the gauge doing? is it a "3 o clock"? that would be a bad ground. If it's staying the same then it could be a sender or selector valve or the gauge.

    I did not remove the crossmember. Did you take off the stone guard? Mine is missing so I could easily see it. It wasn't fun with the fuel lines trust me. I unbolted it and the lines move just a little so you can work with it. I bought this one...

    just hooking it up and reading it won't tell you if the exhaust is clogged. You have to rev it up and hold it.
