    Don't know that. The problem is the secondary ignition. For a fact. I heard misfires my first start up today and haven't heard them since. I mean, what are the chances on 2 bad coils?

    Replaced the starter. Cranks harder, doesnt start, no backfire. Replaced dist base with brand new base with brand new coil and turned 180... cranks, no start. this is pissing me the fuck off.

    Ha, funny thing... I do have a brand new starter to also put on. Ill put it on in the morning and let you know if that changes the problem. I have had starter issues which is why I ordered a starter. God I hope thats not the issue...

    That needs to happen. I have a new S&W M&P Shield that hasnt had a round put through it yet. And thats sad b/c I like the feeling in my hand more than my SR9C. But then Im sad b/c the SR holds 17... which even if I bought mag extenders, it would only get ... 11? hahaha.. choices choices.

    F it, this has to be a bad coil. I spun the engine around to TDC and to EVERYONE's suprise, the mark I put on the vacuum hose that pointed where the rotor pointed, lined up. I put the wires back on but this time one spot more clockwise, like I should have done in the beginning, verified 12 volts...

    I thought about using two pieces of thick blue painters tape and trying to make a whistle like a blade of grass between thumbs. One way or another I'd hear something, whistle or tape popping off. Or I could get rid of the wife and buy another dog... it would be cheaper and less of a headache...
