    Rear end flip

Flip brackets and shock extenders for the rear, and 2.5in spindles and 1in drop springs in the front that will give you 3.5/5in. Shop for a kit or for the individual parts. I shopped for the best deal on individual parts and dropped mine 4.5/5in for about $325 but i didnt have to buy the drop...

    Rear end flip

Western Chassis, McGaughy, Belltech, and CPP are the top of the heap. How low do you really want to go? Is money no object or are you looking for cheapest way to do it?

    Rear end flip

Well a "flip kit" consists of a flip bracket, u-bolts, u-bolt plate, and some kit may have drop shocks and/or shock extenders and/or c-notch with it depending on the kit and manufacturer you choose. The bare minimum you need to do a flip is flip brackets and shock extenders or drop shocks. All...

When doing a flip you can only run stock shocks with shock extenders or drop shocks. Yes the flip kit in the pic is DJM.

Did they have you measure the lowest point in the radius gusset? It looks like it doesn't allow the axle tube to go deep enough into the bracket. I wonder if they weren't cut deep enough. This is a very odd problem because all c10 axle tubes are 3in diameter. All the flip brackets I have...

    Belltech 4/6 installed

Belltech is a high quality lowering part. Can you post a pic of the bracket and gap? I would be on the phone with Belltech if its installed correctly. No amount of torque on the ubolts is going to stop an unsuported axle tube from spinning in the u-bolts.

So you can turn the spindle out of the way then pull the spring out to the front.

Correct, you dont have to remove the rotor or hub, just the lower ball joint, lower shocl bolt, and tierod end.

Your options to get another inch lower in the front are, cut half a coil off the 1in drop springs, get a set of 2in drop springs, or cut one round of a set of stock springs. IMO, you dont appear to have much of a 1in spring dtop at all. The camber is adjusted by adding or removing shims between...

    Belltech 4/6 installed

When you go more than 2.5in-3in of spring drop you start to run out of alignment bolt to correct the camber. Cutting 1/2 round off the coils can be done but it makes it real hard to seat in the lower control arm due to the shape of the pocket. IMO it looks like you only have a 3in drop in the...

    Rookie Mistake Need Help

Its not exactly stock anymore, lol. Dropped 8in, c-notched, spring inside the frame rails, rear end narrowed, and tubs widened.

Removal of helper leaf in rear

I assume you still have stock shocks and no shock extenders, if that is the case, you will bottom out the shocks before you hit the frame with the axle. If you still have the bump stops in place you will hit them before you bottom out the shocks. Keep in mind you are going to need a "bare...

    Rookie Mistake Need Help

That's only a 5/8in difference, your in the ball park. I don't know for sure if the bed weight will bring it down any but it's possible, I know it will bring the rear down 1 1/2in to 2in so it wouldn't surprise me if it dropped the front another 1/2in.

    Rookie Mistake Need Help

It's just a guess but it wouldn't hurt to try a couple of guys standing evenly on the frame. Can you get me a center hub to fender measurement? Mine is lowered the same and it's at 13 7/8in.

    4/6 drop kits?

Summit. I like Western Chassis and CPP http://www.summitracing.com/search/department/chassis-suspension/part-type/suspension-lowering-kits/year/1987/make/chevrolet/model/r10?N=4294951552%2B4294897953

    3/5 drop?

Cut right where my finger nail is with a cutting disc, saws all, or band saw. Do not cut with a torch.

    3/5 drop?

Cutting 1/2 round will net a 3/4in-1in drop, BUT it is a royal pain to get the bottom to seat in place because the top of the spring is D shaped and has to be clocked to the D shape in the spring pocket which will make the bottom off by 1/2 a round. I would suggest a 1in drop spring or cut one...

The only other 1/2 ton spring is the 6454 which is stiffer, looks like you have the right one.

    78 C10 changing suspension

CPP makes some really nice tubular control arms if you have the coin to spend. Add a thick sway bar, drop spindles, and drop coils and you should see a nice improvement. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/clp-6372tcalkb10/overview/year/1978/make/chevrolet/model/c10...
