    700r4 ATF

Haven't touched it since I put it in the 84', which I guess was actually closer to 4 years than 5. Caprice has run it since I changed it in March of 2014. So, no change interval at this point, really. :P They don't see a lot of miles.

    700r4 ATF

I've run SuperTech from Walmart for 5+ years in both 700R4 and TH350s. No problems.

    K10 5.3 headers

Those are small block headers, not LS headers. In my experience, nothing beats the Hooker cast iron LS manifolds (8501HKR) for LS swap fitment.

    WTH? SeaFoam $12 a Can?!?! NOT !!!

Indeed. I was looking for a 1/2 to 3/8 barbed heater hose adapter yesterday, couldn't find one in the !HELP section, so I had the parts guy look for one. I told him the size 3 times, he repeated it 3 times, and kept trying to hand me the 1/2 to 5/8 adapter, and then started handing me 5/8 to...

    New Daily Driver (Caprice)

It should be on the RPO sticker. They are usually at the bottom and start with WA-XXXX (being 4 digits) in most cases.

What have you done to your square lately??

Clearanced the frame a bit more for AC hose clearance on my LS swap and installed my new AC compressor. Had to take out a bit more than I would've preferred, but it'll be fine. It's past the front cross member, and the frame is 1/4" thick and only sees light load in that area.

    86 K10 5.3 swap

Mine was a 2WD, but I've seen a few people add tone rings to the NP208 for a VSS output. If you are on Facebook, check out the following group: LS Swapped Square Body GM Trucks ('73-'86 C/K & '87-'91 R/V) They are dedicated to LS swaps in Squarebodies, and there are quite a few guys with...

    86 K10 5.3 swap

Off to a good start! If you have any questions about the swap, I can probably help out. Just about finished with my swap (only have exhaust left to do).

    350 TBI to 454 carb

You can run a big block replacement radiator, Spectra Premium CU730. You just need the bigger top plate, which you can get from LMC or the junkyard, along with the rubber pads top and bottom (they are bigger than the smaller 350 radiator pads). The radiator is only about $110 at RockAuto...

Possible Fuel problem with my 87.....

The fuel pumps won't run right away if they've just been run, since the fuel system should already have prime. If you wait about 20 seconds and turn the key back on, I bet the pumps would run again. In any case, just need to track down the problem. I wouldn't be surprised to see a split hose...

What have you done to your square lately??

Test fit and tacked up my X-pipe and rear extensions for the exhaust on my crewcab. Just waiting on my new trans crossmember to build out the rest.

    Vortec heads- cold weather issues?

The grass is always greener. I spent so much on my 6.0L swap that I had thoughts here and there along the lines of "shoulda just bought a built big block", haha.

    New Daily Driver (Caprice)

To make up for the lack of Caprice pictures...I shall whore mine out (complete with random light pole, in homage to the car's PO, Old77).

    New Daily Driver (Caprice)

I've got a 91' with 68,000 miles on it. It's a cherry. :) Love that car. As far as pitman and idler go, you would basically check them like a tie rod, just have someone turn the wheel back and forth and watch for play in the cup.

    LED dash lights!

Yep, you can get new bases that will accept removable bulbs. I replaced every single light in my cluster with a new base and LED bulb.

    Hey, It's me... again!

Nice! I'd drive that thing every day of the week, and twice on sunday! I'd love to have a 4 speed C20 regular cab. I need more land, so I can have my whole herd of trucks, one of every square! :D

    New Daily Driver (Caprice)

The 2004-R is pretty decent transmission. As long as it's been somewhat maintained, I wouldn't worry too much about it if it appears to be functioning OK. That said, you never know with something that's 30 years old. As far as the death wobble goes, the first place I'd start would be getting...

    Got a new Car Hoist

That's awesome! Lifts are wonderful. Thankfully, my buddy has one. Couldn't have replaced all the brake lines on my Caprice without it. It would have been a nightmare otherwise.

    Insulation Step 1: Sound Deadener

I've been pondering doing this to my Crewcab when I get around to doing the interior. It'd be nice to quiet it down a bit.
