    Looking for hood stripes

I remember my buddy & I test driving a Chevy Sport, like '78 or '79. Took it to the carwash to rinse it off, blew one of the stripes right off the hood, picked it up off the ground, re-stuck it to the hood while it was wet, promptly returned the truck to the dealership and left quickly!

    Instrument Bezel Referb

I cleaned my bezel up good, painted my fuel gauge inner ring & the now clock inner ring with a charcoal wheel paint to match the existing color, repainted the silver outer rings on all the gauges & the "Lights" letters with a silver paint pen, then installed a new aluminum bezel overlay from LMC...

    Help with Windshield Wiper Blades

The problem with all this plastic sh*t is that when it's cold, it's super brittle. I'm constantly changing blades on my truck & my '84 BRAT because if you bump them trying to scrape the ice off the windshield, they break.

    Carburetor on my 82' C20

Ask the guy who rebuilt it, or call a reputable rebuild shop & ask what the difference it. It could be that one came from a 305 engine, or it could be that one is for an auto, one for a standard, also one might have slightly larger mains. I would guess that if it went on your truck & all the...

Please look over my emissions “delete”

I'd also unhook the cruise control rod, just to make sure it's not opening the throttle, as @Ricko1966 was suggesting.

Please look over my emissions “delete”

Ok, it just seems to me like there is either something inside the carb holding the throttle plate open, or the cable isn't allowing it to return to the idle position. It shouldn't be running that high of rpms without the throttle being open somehow. Good luck!

Unhook your throttle cable, does the throttle plate change positions?

Please look over my emissions “delete”

The whole choke circuit takes a couple minutes to get up to temp & idle at normal rpm's. Let 'er run a bit unless it's running like 4 grand or something, then that's not normal.

Please look over my emissions “delete”

What's the temp where you're starting this engine? Does your choke have 3 adjuster screws or rivits in it? When it's bellowing black smoke, manually open the choke plate about 1/8-3/16" and see if she'll clear up & pick up idle a bit. Sounds to me like an improperly adjusted choke at start-up.

Please look over my emissions “delete”

Is your choke in fast idle position? Sounds to me like it's normal for cold start situations. Is the throttle plate in the idle position? Why does it only run for 10-30 seconds, is it running out of fuel? The engine needs to get up to temp before you make any type of poke-n-hope adjustments.

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

I don't think you'll be able to add a spacer much thicker than 3/8" without adding longer lug studs. None of my trucks have ever had an extra 3/4" of lug stud left after the nut was on.

Rear wheels are sucked in way more than front. K10. Adapters? BAD IDEA? pics inside

I know a guy who is running spacers on his '92 1500 because he's running a set of S-10 wheels. They initially came loose & f-ed up his ORIGINAL lug studs and he had to fix a few. Do what you want, everyone is advising you not to run spacers but you're wanting to do it anyway. Why'd you even ask...

    Rear Bumper 1986 K10

I do remember before I installed mine that I jacked the back of my truck up, turned the bumper upside down then blocked the ends of the Westin bumper up in the air, put blocks from my receiver hitch to the bottom hitch plate of the bumper, and let the weight of my truck take some of the smile...

Issues with being stood for a long time?

Check fluids for cross-contamination first. Also check clarity and give them a sniff to see if any are burnt or fuel washed, Then, if all is ok & full, fire it up, it'll be somewhat of a crapshoot if the seals are going to start hemorrhaging fluid. If it's been inside, it's had some type of...
