This is the car that Pontiac developed the "Ram Air" package on. This setup was also worth about a .2 sec reduction in ET (from 12.40 to 12.20), back in 1965. K- Keith Seymore

81-87 body molding
Mine's a Scottsdale so that I could get the vinyl flooring but opt up to a "Silverado" appearance on the outside. B85 gets you the Silver side trim and V22 for the quad headlight grille. K- Keith Seymore

You've done your homework; your interpretation of the VIN is correct. My vote would be that someone put the wrong badges on the fenders at some point in it's life (even as far as back as the assembly plant). Boxed Frame or not?
I'd put a roll cage in it before I'd box the frame. Run the down bars through the back window and attach to the frame through the box floor. That would give you a lot more triangulation, up high, to control any flex between the cab and the box. I don't think you are getting much flex...- Keith Seymore

Yes. I have two installs; one in my chevelle and one in my Grand Prix. The car got to where it wouldn't crank, so I turn the key to "on" and hit the push button to spin it.
