What have you done to your square lately??

Pulled the Quadrajet off of the 76, it's been in need of throttle shaft bushings and the well plugs have been leaking for some time now. 200k+ miles on it though, so hard to complain too much. Will be going through the ignition system and making new plug wires for it.

    HELP! My truck won’t start!

First is you did put the/a rotor back on before the cap (I've done it plenty of times)? Second I would inspect the connections at the cap. I've had trouble before with them pushing the terminals either out of the plug or up into the cap and not making connection or an intermittent connection...

What’s IT Worth? (Post all “what’s it worth threads here)

If depends on what you want from the truck in my opinion if the 833 is the right choice or not. They are an overdrive variant of the 833 used in Mopars of the 60s and 70s (1975 was the introduction of the overdrive 833) Strength wise they are plenty strong. If you are planning on doing a lot...

    Old wheel bearing grease cans.

I do not actively seek them out, but if I come across one for small money, say $1-$2 or less I'll probably grab it to put on a display shelf. On a side note, since John mentioned spun paper/cardboard cans, my coworker worked for a company in the 80s that had developed and built tooling for and...

What new tools have you got lately?

Garage sale finds, large L keys, biggest is 1" Not sure I'll ever have a need for the 1" but is certainly possible in the future as it seems my hobbies are not getting any lighter. They were cheap too, so that influenced my decision.

Exhaust kit for straight through muffler?

Glass packs are available as offset in/out, you would need to verify pipe diameters and lengths etc of course.

Is this fender original or aftermarket?

My understanding is only the GM replacement fenders have the GM stamp, the original fenders I have had in my hands have not had the stamp. If you click the blue text in my post above, or there is a link down in my signature that will take you to that thread.

Stamp for reference Also I have this old thread that details some of the differences.

Is this fender original or aftermarket?

Yes the one on the left is aftermarket. GM replacement fenders should also have GM stamped on the rear of the fender that faces the door.

Advice on Rear Differential Leak for 1980 C10

Leave one bolt at the top of the cover installed loose, then when you break the seal of the cover, it stays put, let’s you drain it, then remove the bolt and pull cover after drained. Then you don’t have the cover fly off and make a big splash. Make sure you can remove the fill plug first...

    Check out my rear end

Don’t have much to say on the vibration front, However, regarding the chattering issue, the original Dana 70 under my Dodge (factory power-loc limited slip), the pinion had some play (360k miles), when taking slow corners like in a drive thru or parking lot it would “chatter.” Best way I can...
