    Harness bar

I think this is something that you'll end up having to fabricate as I've never seen just a harness bar for a C10. Not trying to lecture but as Ricko mentioned they can be dangerous on the street. And a PITA. Hard to see around you. I have some vehicles with 5pt's and I either leave it loose or...

    Dually guys, need your opinions!

Depending on cost, I'd be interested in a set just in case. I bought a spare set of dually fenders as those can be hard to source.

    Rim compatibility

Only reason to keep 16.5's is if you can get military take off tires cheap. I used to buy brand new 35's/ 37's for $80-100.

Trying to identify aluminum dually wheels, need to replace one.

Not to discourage you but once you identify the wheel, you might find it a challenge to find a replacement wheel as there is a lack of options for 8 lug 16/17" dually wheels these days. Most seem to switch to 10 lug adapters and run 20/22/24" wheels. I've been looking for a set for myself for 2...

1992 RS Camaro. First car for Der Burger.

Love this car, love that the kids have smiles on their faces! Just an awesome thread! Been trying to talk my 15yo into a 90-92 Z28 or a 93-96 C4, I'd prefer a vert Camaro but hardtop would be ok. My son thinks they are ugly, but I'll probably buy one anyway. Wife says no more projects until we...

    Gear Vendors OD

I have zero experience with one but all I've heard is positive feedback. When I get to that stage on my R3500/C30, I plan to do a 4l80 with a GV. I'd like to have an OD when towing, 2 additional OD's for when unloaded or running light, and the ability to split when going up to Flagstaff from...

    USA made sliding window assembly?

While the cab frame is the same, the thickness of the glass got thinner. Not sure when that changed but if you look through glass catalogs you'll see thicker glass specified and still available for the early trucks. Most use the more common thinner glass and seal when installing new glass.

    1987 R10 - QA1 Rear Coil Over Conversion Kit

I believe CPP, amongst others, sells a kit to basically put 67-72 traiiling arms on a squarebody but with coil overs to improve ride, handling, etc. Little more friendly on the wallet and still a very good option. https://www.classicperform.com/tech_articles/Trailing_Arms/Trailing_Arms.htm

    Parking Brake Cable Upgrade

I agree with Squareroot on this as the factory 80 up system works well but you can get cables/ brackets from Lokar, custom cables and several others. Maybe an e-stopp would help in this situation.

Fuel filler issue. This can’t be right.

Had a hard time filling one of the tanks on my '90 C30. I changed the hoses, both fill and vent on both sides, as one of the vents had a small kink, and it solved the issue. Maybe an hour total for both sides and fairly cheap for all 4 hoses and 8 clamps. make sure you buy the correct pre-formed...

    Brake booster pushrod firewall grommet

    I pieced together a hydro boost on our 77 C10 and I believe I bought a 67-72 grommet.

    raising seat height

No brackets that I know of but I helped a friend raise his seat in his 67-72. I believe I used aftermarket transfer case lowering bushings I had laying around. I believe they were aluminum and had a bigger outer diameter than the steel factory bushings. You could also possibly use skateboard...

Ethanol varnish residue: Carb vs EFI

Dealers charged $300 to unlock the "competition" tune on the HHR/ Cobalt SS which I assume almost everyone did. It took it from 16 psi to 23 auto/25 manual adding 63/ 81 hp all under factory warranty. Other than adding the K&N intake, I left mine stock so close to 335 hp. It did overheat d/t...

Ethanol varnish residue: Carb vs EFI

I've never thought of using e85 for towing during the summer. Might be something to consider. My Suburban was a flex fuel and whenever I used e85, it dropped the mpg by 20-30%. Had a few friends with similar experiences. We used to have a HHR SS which is probably one of the most powerful...

Anybody know the size of the factory sport mirrors?

I believe the 67-72 have a different mount pattern and the base is a little different. Some don't like the base but if you Google, you'll find some square's where people went with them.

Anybody know the size of the factory sport mirrors?

There is one additional option to consider and that is the 67-72 Sport Mirror. It is just a tad bigger than the Squarebody sport mirror.

LED Tail Light conversion… Carolina Truck Shop

I'm going to probably order a set for my C30 soon. What's nice about him as he will build it anyway you want. The hard part is the language barrier. There is a guy in the Nova club that has become good friends with him so he goes down to Argentina about every 18 months and if I can't explain...

What’s IT Worth? (Post all “what’s it worth threads here)

Not to burst any bubbles as the market is very fickle. Squarebody Sydicate had a white all original '74 with something like 1100 miles on it. It sold at auction 2-3 years ago and I think it sold in the very low teens at auction. People thought it would go for for 2-3x the price as the market...

My wife is small and is pregnant

You can also build a temp handle that hooks to the striker bolt/ pin on the door frame. You can buy them commercially for loop style latches but I think the ones I've seen for our strikers were all custom. They are sold at medical supply places.

Ethanol varnish residue: Carb vs EFI

Pure-gas.org to search ethanol free pumps. I started buying the ethanol free gas at wal-mart, Lowe's, HD, etc. It's expensive at $5 a quart but it cured all the problems in my small engines. Everything starts first pull and no run-on. The big box stores seem to change brands every few months...

Biggest jobs you have completed in the shortest amount of time.

When I was 16/17 drove up to a machine shop in the morning, pulled the heads(350SBC in a 70 C20) in the lot, walked into the shop and had them rebuilt, walked to lunch, parts store to get oil, gaskets, etc. Machine shop knocked them out in a few hours and I had them back on and drove out a few...

LED Tail Light conversion… Carolina Truck Shop

Wow, I hadn't heard any issues with them. I bought a couple sets as well as parklights when they were on sale or show specials but they are all sitting new in the boxes. C10 parts have quite a wide manufacturing base so I've never asked but Digitaled in Argentina might build them for you. I can...

    Strange dome light

A cab I bought a few years ago had one of those. It was broken somehow and I didn't pay much attention to it before I tossed it. While I realized it was adjustable, I didn't even think of it as a being able to swivel all the way down to light the bed.
