Brake booster pushrod firewall grommet

I have a 1974 Chevy C10 and am currently bring it back to life. I bought a new brake booster and when I went to install it I noticed the new boot on the booster doesn't cover the hole in the firewall. I haven't been able to find any kind of seal, grommet, gasket, etc. that goes there. Would really appreciate any help on this matter. thank you

I pieced together a hydro boost on our 77 C10 and I believe I bought a 67-72 grommet.

If you haven’t turned your core in you should be able to get the one off your old booster.

Mine was a 2 piece yellow plastic unit that was covered in the black mastic tar stuff that is all over the firewall. I was able to clean it up with some lacquer thinner and sprayed with vinyl dye.

Thank you. I just ordered the 67-72 grommet and am going to try that.

My 80 had the yellow one but I had to modify it to fit the replacement booster. If you have the P/N for it that would be cool.

If someone knows of a source for an anodized booster that would be cool, too !
