Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

IF it were to become an issue, which could be from the manufacture of those wheels made them improper, someone else doesnt grind them as evenly. Infact, older trucks like these are much less sensitive to things like runout thankfully, a big reason being these wheels are reasonable , narrow, and...

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

I didnt read all the pages of new posts, but if the OP went ahead with the grinding away a bit of the wheel to fit, then I would just be concious of any suspension shake in the future, because you may have created lateral runout. IF you own a dial indicator you could measure this yourself, but...

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

a wheel thats lug centric should use a lug centric mounting adapter and not a cone, i know its not nearly common because a cone is faster for people, btu that would be more accurate. and the weight problem you brought up about the outside, you can remedy that with pound on weights on the inside...

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

the weights should be balanced betwene the other side, take 2 of the outer ones and put them on the inside (or other side) of the rim, across from them, so they arent so far away. And if that is what a balancer asked for, the tire needs to be match-mounted no the wheel, the low point of the...

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

Good point, that is an excessive amount of weight, to the point that the weights are not able to be in the right "spot" because they are so wide, stick ons should be used, if, after match mounting, that area of the wheel cannot go without that much weight. Also, the weights should be split on...

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

no, my 3/4 ton is a 1980, which is 8 lug , and it has the large 13 inch drums for the 14 bolt axle The drum in your picture, is 5 lug, I have a 5 lug drum like it on a scrap pile I doubt there will be anything significant learned from checking for a lip, but id guess the drum is OEM because of...

Best way to transport 19 55 gallon barrels?

I also noticed that the trailer wiring or my truck have issues, if I use the turn signal after braking, the turn signal would stop and just stay lit , but if I turn signal ,then brake, then it would blink. Ive not had that with my other trailer, but I thought this was weird. one 1157 bulb added...

    '77 Vandura radio not working

so wired directly to the battery sounds like they werent using the Radio tap on the fuse panel. @Turbo4whl were you an expert on the fuse panels? Someone here is very knowledgeable. Im thinking the switched ignition is the tap, and the fuse itself is the constant.

Best way to transport 19 55 gallon barrels?

Forgot to update. I had an OK trip, but I am really lucky because the rust on my gmt800 factory hitch was fatal and i just made it home before it failed completely. The thing about it is that the chain hooks are attached to the same point, it would have been a runaway trailer! Im not too...

    What are these holes for?

do you want them plugged so they dont appear to have anything or so that they dont pass water? Because simple bolts and nuts then hit with paint would work, cut the extra bit of the bolts off. Also, you could use a filler like for the body, not ideal but would work. You could also use epoxy...
