    Tire size confusion.

My radial equipped dullies came with the optional 235/85-16. At first opportunity I replaced them with the 255's. Never had a tire rub with vehicle or dually rears. The 215/85's were mostly found on base line ordered trucks. My earliest duallies I ordered came with 7.50/16's as I ordered. The...

    Can I put a np203 in my 84’ K10 that originally had the 208?

The coice of a 203 isn't all bad. It gives you an option to run a pto if wanted. Seen them work winches on tow trucks. 1979 was a good year as they would have the improvements to the chain/gears that began during the 78 model year.

How to tell if my NP203 has been converted to part time?

The early 203 cases had the 2.5 chain. When they went to the 2" chain they changed the pitch on the chain/gears. This prevented much of the chain slippage on the higher mile/worn transfer cases. Change happened during the 1978 model year. I put 200,000 on a part timed 1979 case with zero problems.
