Ok... I'm gonna really hope that you have pictures of the Pontiac with running boards on it, lol.
Those pictures and those of my Datsun King cab with a home-built interior roll cage are sadly lost. Trust me I've looked cause they were both awesome vessels of teenage/young adult debauchery

I actually put cab length running boards on my 84 C2500. Only problem is I don't have any support brackets for them and they are "sagging" in the middle. I used 2 strips of 1/8" steel from my work to mount them to the cab. I found a set of Nerf bars for free, so will see if they fit, then will swap them out.

I would pull them and save them. You might want them back on after some time goes by or you could sell them and use the money for something you know you want.

I think I’m pulling all of it off in the upcoming days. If someone is in Texas, let me know in case you want to make a deal on some of these items!

Howdy all,

Do you think I should remove these steps and bug guard from this old barn find? Detroit steels and a small drop are in the works…

However the yellow camper truck looks cool with the old school stuff on it…
I had the same running boards, I pulled them off the first weekend I got the truck. They are "butt ugly: in my opinion. :) Same goes with the bug shield. Just because something was in style in the 80s does not make it look good today

Both will be coming off and going to sale for the cheap. Let me know if anyone is interested!
