    My 73 K20 has the Warn hubs that turn almost one full turn to engage. I have a Dana44 with spartin lunch box locker in front. I have driven it locked in and in two wheel drive, and it drives the same on the hwy. When four wheel is engaged, you can really tell it is in, does not like dry asphalt...

    Valve seal o-ring question

    Older motors just used the O-ring, but there is a tool that machine shops used to cut for the PC type (umbrella) seal. look at the valve stem where it comes out of the head, it is most likely machined VS cast. If so use a PC (felpro) seals much better.

    The vortec is a roller motor, makes more HP then the marklV, and is the preferred motor. Richard Holdner has done many mods to them and is a welth of info. You will need a good 750 holly style carb, or bigger if you mod it much. there are carb formulas at Summit. I really like the E-bock air gap...

    Hydroboost worth it?

    I have a good friend, (brother) that is giving me a 84 Burb has hydra boost, gonna put it on my truck. I tow and haul quite a bit, and the hydra boost will fit my needs. Wife hates that I am getting another truck, my fourth Square. Also not to happy about the 71 ford f250...but it's cool.
