Cowl area cleanout, are these fasteners the original correct ones FINISHED!!

Yeah- I need them too...I ran image search this AM and found nothing. You might be able to substitute these or something similar with a little heat to shape them https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/GM-Door-Trim-Panel-Retainer-p/a13946.htm

K20 Suburban Flaming River tilt column (also Wolff Engineering bearing)

Decided to swap out the Rag Joint with a Lares 200 (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/lsc-200), but when taking off the steering shaft, the lower column bearing came with it. I only saw one post about the Wolff Engineering bearing...

    Installs to do before windshield?

Definitely de-rust, prime, paint, and seal the cowl drain area, and the inside under dashboard as well as the windshield frame itself. Consider spraying 3m cavity wax inside the window frame (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0741FHDPF/) using these super long wands...

    Headlights upgrade.

Has anyone tried these? Seem pretty decent for the price and are DOT compliant unlike the Hella conversion buckets. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0896XXLQF/

Inner mirror bracket for driver's side doesn't seem to fit

The instruction sheet the @Snoots added is way better than the factory manual illustrations! Nice to see that LMC is finally selling those brackets since without them the mirrors vibrate- previously had to find at boneyard. I'll be replacing door shells and and wonder if anyone has the...

    Door Skin Sound Deadening

I covered what I could easily get to with a roller using Kilmat 80. It was less than 50% coverage, but did make a big diff. Main challenge will be making sure it sticks to the old door.

    Steering slop

@Brysonsproject Check the gear to frame bolt torque is 80Ft Lbs. If less, they work loose and it will make your steering sloppy when all else is tight. Easy test is to unlock the steering wheel lock and move the rag joint by hand. If the gear moves, the bolts are loose. Happened to me didn't...

K20 Power Steering Pulley different sizes

@MarineOne Appreciated. CVF has some awesome stuff, but sadly no dual groove vbelt pulleys that are 6.5 inches. Found one on eBay though!

K20 Power Steering Pulley different sizes

I replaced my 83 K20 Suburban power steering system (2 groove, w AC) with all new parts only to discover that most power steering pulleys available are significantly smaller diameter than original. I noticed the new one was smaller but figured it was no big deal and tossed the old one. Big...

    Door mirror reinforcing plates?

Well after more digging it turns out you can't use those plates with the below eye line mirrors, just the little sport mirrors. But I did find these on ebay: GM part is Reinforcement, Mir Brkt 14007541 (LH), 14007542 (RH) all discontinued natch, but on the way!

    Door mirror reinforcing plates?

I replaced my 83 Suburban K20 large towing mirrors with the compact ones from LMC, but they've always vibrated quite a bit. I saw these and got them before they went out of stock hoping they may solve the problem, but can't find any info about installation. Wondered if anyone has installed things?

    Rear tailgate glass channel position?

Does anyone have a pic of the support plate and bushing for the tailgate motor gear? Been looking at this guys site on converting from an OEM Tailgate motor (https://www.tradecraftspecialties.com/SquareBodyTailgateWindowMotors#Topic1) to Standard door motor #: Cardone 42-16, or 82-016, or...

    Bouncing speedometer

This happened to me as well. After replacing pretty much everything, I yanked out the gauge cluster. Turned out there was small bit of fuzz up at the speedo head that was interfering with the needle. Blast of air and fuzz gone and works flawlessly.
