    Stripped bellhousing to transmission threads

Repair it right the first time or you'll end up broke down on the road somewhere. Even if you replace the bellhousing rather than heli coils, you won't regret it.

    Here from Ohio

The way I'd do it is rebuild the original engine and leave it stock if it's in good condition. When I was younger, I would have modified it. Ultimately, it's your choice but you did sk for thoughts. Welcome! Send photos of it please. Sounds like a nice truck.

Leaking Optima red top battery X2

I saw a factory Mopar battery in a 1985 Dodge pickup that lasted 13 years, I was amazed. It was in a fleet vehicle at Denali national park and I was one of the mechanics there so I could keep track of it, that's the oldest functioning battery I've ever experienced. Anymore, I buy the cheapest...

    Bent clutch linkage

I agree. From past experience, the clutch linkage will not function as it should upon acceleration due to the engine rising up from the torque. I would replaceboth engine mounts and the bent pivot stud before it breaks off. At least that's wht it looks like to me.

    I’m in love - here’s the truck I’m dating

If it runs well, I'd pay $3500 for it just for the color, mostly. No matter what you buy, everything has something wrong with it. The tthings you listed are minor to me. That's the whole point, getting your rig set up the way YOU like it.

    GMC 4wd dog dishes

Good find! I'm always looking for old car/truck parts like that. Whenever I go through a town on a road trip, I look for the wrecking yards, if they're open it's cheep entertainment and you never know what you'll see.

I wonder how the booster on my '75 made all these years without one, it's the original one.
