I bought a new carburetor from national confirmed with the staff from national and they said the one I was looking at was in fact the one I needed I’ll attach a picture of the one I purchased. Installed turned it on and ran fine. Now 2 weeks later it’ll crank but won’t fire up opened up the choke flap to see if there was any gas but nothing. I have never ran a compression test on the engine I’m not too sure how you do that. As far as the distributor do I check for vacuum or what exactly do you mean? I’m super new to this so my apologies on million questions.
Okay I'm understanding more,so you put the correct replacement carb on,not a non ccc carb. I thought you already swapped and were trying to make it work. Okay take the big vent hose off the front of the carb it is in the very front up high bigger than pencil in diameter. Now take the lid off the air cleaner there is another big nipple with nothing on it,through that nipple fill the carb with gasoline, use a dish soap bottle, until it starts to dribble out the vent nipple. Does the truck start and run until it runs out of gas? Read post here for pics.

You’re a life safer I did the trick with the fuel and float and it worked truck fired right up and does not die out. Any idea what issue is now that I got that figured out ? Thanks again boss

Okay so we know the carbureator functions,if we can get fuel in it. I will try to find pics to verify you put fuel where I said. If that checks out, then remove the fuel line from the carbureator, put open line in an empty bottle and have someone crank the engine. Does fuel pump into the bottle. That will let me know if the problem is before the carbureator or in the carbureator. Post back. Wait a minute or 2 and check back for pics. Okay put up pics for you. Knife tip is the hole to fill through. The nipple you watch for fuel to dribble out of is just above the knife serrations. You can't see the opening of the vent from this angle,I should have taken two pictures, sorry. I put an x by it.
