Doin some shop cleaning. Found this guy I stashed a few years ago, some more of grandpas stuff. I've got another unit that is the one I use. This one can stay a display piece, especially since it's got the plastic case still. Pretty cool!

I really miss the days when Craftsman was a good and useful tool brand... not just a basic selection of cheap, overseas garbage peddled by Lowe's.

I think we may have been thinking about this too deep. I think this is grease for a grease gun, before they had disposable cartridges. And it's just the winter blend? I felt like some old guy here woulda chimed in, but I'm confident that's the explanation.

Real tacky stuff, didn't really have a smell, kind of amber colored. Separating just a little bit not bad though.

I saw one of those cool little tire ashtrays and snapped it up while at the thrift store.

We also have a collection of the older Playmate coolers.
We have bright red, blue, yellow, and now maroon.

I also saw this cool wooden thingy.
I am assuming it is from USSR, but google images will not tell me anything about it.
I haven't tried all that hard to look into it though.
But I bought it anyway as it was nifty as it is all hand laid wood to make the designs.

I've got my grandpa's old grease gun. I haven't used it in at least 20 years... because you know, it doesn't take cartridges and I'm lazy lol. After grandma passed, we cleaned out the house and we found one of grandpa's old grease cans that he used for the grease gun, but I can't remember what it said on the label. I think my dad has the can still though.

I’ve got several wrenches that were my grandpa’s, they’re worn smooth.
My father who is 88 has a bunch of them also, I’ll probably be going through them this summer.
I don’t use them, they just reside in a drawer of my tool box.

Yeah, I've got some of grandpa's other things too. I don't use them, I just hang onto them. Like the camshaft with a flat lobe from his '61 Chevy, plus half of a GM gasket set from when he installed the new cam in that '61 Chevy. The story goes that he was on the way to the beer store and he wound up racing some guy in a Ford, the cam went flat during the race, but he still beat the Ford.

This is my late father’s Hamilton Railroad watch, which he had when he worked for the railroad (where he met my mother). These were special watches issued by the railroad and routinely calibrated to keep all railroad employees synchronized to prevent accidents. It works perfectly and I occasionally wear it. It’s an amazing piece of machinery!
