Hello All,

I just picked up a neglected forgotten 1977 GMC C15 Square Body Sierra Classic. This is an Arizona Truck so very little surface rust and a very straight body. That is where the good stops! Previous owner dropped her off 2 weeks ago not running and not driving. She was off the road for about 10 years. Now she runs and drives. She is still rough but good bones. I put on an Edelbrock 1409 carb and deleted on some emissions and got her running. I put on new tires and I replaced all the front suspension and breaks to get her driving again. Not road worthy but I have ran around the block a few times. Still a long list of chores to do. Interior, dashboard, rear breaks, new intake manifold, door hardware, window hardware and seals, instruments and refresh the lighting and probably 2 to 3 thousand other items!

I have had a lot of fun working on her. I have named her Betty White, yes I see others have as well but I picked it before I saw those and I like it! I plan on building her up to be a nice "Going to Town Rig" and tow rig. It is my first GMC, and I have to say part availability and easy of working on her has been a great plus!

I look forward to all the assistance this forum will provide and hope I can return the favor.

Greg

Welcome!
Thanks for the pic, so many new folks don’t include one.
Good looking truck, great start for a project.
I had one just like it way back when, it was “Plain Jane” bought it from a church.
