I did some searching for threads on this, but couldn't find the answer I needed, so I'll ask it, even though I KNOW it's been asked before. Is anyone making any 8 lug slots in 16x8 or 17x8? I don't want the vintage 16.5x8.25 wheels because of the usual tire availability issues, and I don't want 10 inch wide wheels, which seems to be the only thing I can find in 17s. Thanks!

Its so hard to find who makes what now days searching on the computer

I couldnt find anyone/anything. Only the new pricey US Mag 17X10

Ultra makes the closest thing to the old Eagle Alloy 058 , but its a crap shoot what variation you'll get when you open the box

Too many real stupid, ugly looking rims/wheels on the market now days

Someone needs to start remaking that Rim in many configurations again

Agreed. If I had the money to get it going, I would do it myself. Hmmm...

So if a crazy fool were to fork out to have a bunch of 8 lugs made in 16x8 and 17x8, do you think they would sell?

I used to have a set of those, new truck takeoffs from a GMT 800 2500 Burb. Was gonna put em on the R2500 Burb and then I needed to sell them. So now I have an 8 lug trucks and no aluminum wheels for it ..and those ten ply load range E tires on steelies are heavy! I have seen several sets at the yards.... when I don't have any $$$ to buy them!

Not really my style, but thanks!. I've always loved those old vintage slots like the ones I showed, just pisses me off that no one makes them exactly like that anymore. The wheels I have on it are fine for now, but if I can't find an aluminum wheel I like more, I'll probably just go with some factory steelies and dog dishes. Got any of those lying around?

Hey Tim, we talked about this some at the shop, and you may be able to buy the rim without any holes in them, I saw that somewhere when looking for US Indy 101's. I know a machinist that would probably do the 8x 6.5 BC, for a six pac of IPA....

17x9 here
I wonder what those look like in Real Life

17x9 -8 lug, 6.5

Their specification offset specs and or back spacing specs are incorrectly listed
17X98X6.5backspace 5.0offset -12125.203,500
Cant be correct... Maybe +6 offset with 5" back space

That's way closer to the original, thanks! Not right on the money and no matte finish, but worth considering.

They can be a matte finish, just let mother nature do the work, lol. They aren't clearcoated (or at least they weren't previously), so with just basic neglect, they will be more of a matte finish after a few years.

I have the US Indy 101 on my 73 14 ff, 16.5 and love them, BUTTT, 16.5 tires are in short supply. I also ran these on the 53.

Anyway I contacted US mag about buying either the 17" or 15' 8 WIDE with the offset required, and am waiting for a reply back. Will let you know when they respond. I really want the 101's and I do have 10 inch wide ones now, but 15's would be nice.
